Travel Stories: New Zealand's Hobsonville Point suburb
New Zealand's Hobsonville Point suburb is a new development 30-minute ferry ride from Auckland. There is a massive traffic jam in the morning and evening drive to the Auckland central business district. So taking the ferry is preferred for those working in the Auckland CBD.
Best Place To Live in Auckland - Hobsonville Point
The Point is where we call home and we are extremely lucky to have all of this on our doorstep.
Hobsonville Point is a peninsula that juts out into the Waitemata Harbour, a 20-minute drive northwest of Auckland's CBD. Until 2011 it was a defence base, but it is now being developed for all Aucklanders and we absolutely love it.
Hobsonville Point is a master planned community. By the time the houses are all built the community will already have everything it needs to thrive, purpose-built to the right scale and located in the right place. Parks and well-planned roads, schools, jobs in the neighbourhood and public transport to the CBD, shops and local restaurants, bars and cafes; family homes and apartments by the water – it will all be here and we can't wait!

From Hobsonville Point to Auckland City
{I've added links and info where applicable. Auckland New Zealand, a place to visit and remember}
Hi everyone
How lovely to be able to visit down town Tamaki/ Auckland by ferry from Hobsonville Point. No car needed. A very comforting return to a city I once knew so well. Obviously time has not stood still here.
The new buildings, the change in shopping habits, the arrival of zo many foodie possibilities. The wharf area now a much used tourist spot.
Auckland, the City of Sails. Renown for the Hauraki Gulf and the sailing walhalla for boaties. Beautiful. I had a great time walking round reacquainting myself with this metropolis.
For boat fanatics possibly the place to be in 20121.
The beautiful artwork , the Waharoa ( Gateway) from Selwyn Muru which adorns Civic Square is a treasure to behold.
My best find of the day was beautiful music, songs ( Waiata)I have had the permission to use. My thanks to Delma Rae.
Māori titles Delam Rae: Haere Mai, Koekoea, Kua Rongona. Also used Cinamatic Piano from Non-copyright Music.

playground | Hobsonville Point Playground, Auckland, New Zealand (EP90)
playground | Hobsonville Point Playground, Auckland, New Zealand is so beautiful. In this Munch Monday travel vlog Halle (a New Zealand girl) reviews the stunning, adventure, Hobsonville Point Playground. This is an award winning playground that was inspired by the native seedpods that are found on our coast.
It is good for little kids but is also fun and challenging for older kids too.
The park has swings, balance beams, rope climbs, a slide and features climbing structures that look like giant fantail nests.

2H/1 Emily Place, Auckland City
Barfoot & Thompson City / Leo Shin 027 777 9982
11G/23 Emily Pl - It's What You've Been Waiting For!
If you love a warm North facing aspect, then this two bedroom + study, loft style penthouse apartment is ideal. The study could also be used as a walk in Wardrobe.
Chill out on the sunny balcony and watch the downtown city activity unfold before your eyes.
Comes with one secure carpark too in 65 Fort St (next door with internal entry), which is like gold in this downtown location.
The Silo at 23 Emily is a freehold concrete character building with a lot of exciting history as it used to be the Northern Roller Flour Mills (built in around 1860) - ships used to be able to drop off wheat etc nearly to the doorstep (where Sierra cafe on Fort St is today) before the land was reclaimed in the late 1800s.
Completed as freehold apartments in 2006. The building has a gym, and with a live in building manager, you're in good hands here.
Only a minutes stroll to Britomart precinct, cafes, restaurants and farmers market. Also handy to the ferry terminal, trains, Vector stadium, downtown supermarkets, universities and Queen St, Auckland city.
An opportunity not to be missed, as apartments like these don't come up for sale very often.
