Honourable Artillery Company Regimental Band, June 15, 2017
On June 15, 2017, the House of England presented a concert by the Honourable Artillery Company Regimental Band, at The house of Pacific Relations, here is San Diego's Balboa Park. The military band is based in London, England. They were in the United States as part of a joint military exercise between British and U.S. armed forces. You will notice that the uniform of the Bandmaster, Staff Sergeant Claire Lawrence, is different from the regimental band uniforms. That is because she is a British regular Army soldier, and is leading the band as her military assignment, while in the United States.
This is an incredibly good band and I really enjoyed filming it, especially the Beatles music medley towards the end of the program.
A very big thank you to the President of the House of England, Frances Weekley, and to her staff, for putting this concert together, and to SSgt Claire Lawrence and her band, for a wonderful job.
And I hope you enjoy watching this video as much as I enjoyed filming it. Thank you for watching.
Louis.

HM's Blue Sapphire Jubilee: 21 Gun Salute at the Tower of London, Honourable Artillery Company
February 6th was, for the most part, a fairly quiet and standard Monday in London. The tube was filled with daily commuters and tourists clogged the pavement. It was also a very significant day in British history, as HM Queen Elizabeth II has become the first British monarch in history to reach her Blue Sapphire Jubilee, marking 65 years since her accession to the throne. While HM decided to keep the affair quiet, preferring to spend her day in quiet contemplation and remembrance of her father, King George VI, the day could not have been allowed to pass without proper honours being rendered.
Shortly after the Gun Salute in Green Park, the Honourable Artillery Company saw fit to offer their own salute to Her Majesty on this historic day. Having deployed three guns beneath the shadow of the Tower of London, and under the vigilant gaze of its resident Yeomen Warders, twenty one rounds were fired off over the Thames in a sharp, dignified, and martial fashion. Old Oundelian school reunion at the Honourable Artillery Company in London singing 'Jerusalem'
And did those feet in ancient time
Walk upon England's mountains green?
And was the holy Lamb of God
On England's pleasant pastures seen?
And did the Countenance Divine
Shine forth upon our clouded hills?
And was Jerusalem builded here
Among these dark Satanic Mills?
Bring me my bow of burning gold!
Bring me my arrows of desire!
Bring me my spear! O clouds, unfold!
Bring me my chariot of fire!
William Blake (1757 - 1827)
