This trail is the only self-guided hiking trail in the area. Other trails require a Navajo guide.
This hike is very easy and flat except for a short sandy descent/ascent at the beginning of the trail.
The unique landscape of giant buttes offers an amazing scenery that has been used in countless movies, including Back to the Future 3 and most recently The Lone Ranger.
The desert vegetation is abundant and horses can be seen at times.
