ENFIELD TOWN (H) | FA TROPHY
Bishop’s Stortford and Enfield Town will do it all again on Tuesday night after their FA Trophy first qualifying round encounter ended all-square.
The scene of a 5-0 loss to the town in the BetVictor Isthmian Premier League in August, the Blues will return to Donkey Lane after Billy Bricknell’s volley cancelled out Shomari Barnwell’s lobbed goal at the ProKit UK Stadium.
The hosts opened the scoring against the run of play, after Muhammadu Faal and Ken Charles - who scored twice in the reverse league fixture - went close.
Fred Burbidge was in action early on, blocking a cross with his feet that deflected off Faal and looped up into the air.
After being dominated for the first quarter of an hour, Ryan Henshaw cleared up-field and Barnwell ran onto it and chipped the in-rushing Nathan McDonald from the edge of the box.
Henshaw had a chance himself to double the lead, but headed over from a corner, before Jordan Chiedozie headed wide then had a free kick brilliantly tipped over the bar by McDonald.
Sam Youngs took a shot on the end of a succinct counter-attack for Town, again forcing Burbidge into a save.
At the other end Aarone Greene chipped just wide after good build-up by Chiedozie and Alfie Mason, before Greene was involved in a touchline incident with Town’s assistant manager Mario Noto being sent off as a result.
HT 1-0
After his winning goal two weeks ago against Horsham, Billy Mycroft-Edwards had a chance to be the hero again when he pounced on some poor defending to cut in and shoot on his left foot, but McDonald got down well to save.
And from the following corner, Town somehow managed to scramble away after a number of efforts to get a second for the Blues, before Charles miscued wide at the other end.
Burbidge tipped a fine curling effort round the post, and from the resulting corner Glenn Wilson slid in at the back post but couldn’t convert after a flick on.
Faal then missed from close range when it looked easier to score, before Henshaw made a great sliding tackle to keep the clean sheet - only until a minute later, when Bowling crossed from the left to Bricknell in the middle of the box, to score as he did in the 5-0 drubbing.
The Blues had a succession of corners into additional time, but couldn’t force a winner.
FT 1-1
The replay will take place on Tuesday 29 October, meaning the Blues’ scheduled home match - in the league at home to Corinthian Casuals - will need to be rearranged.

Islamophobia | www.islamgate.org
A report published by a UK university has found that since the 9/11 attacks on the US in 2001, arson, criminal damage, violence and intimidation against Muslims in Britain has increased dramatically. In particular, the authors found that since Muslim communities in small towns are more polarised than in cities, they are more vulnerable to attack and this accounts for higher Islamophobia-related incidents. The study, Islamophobia and Anti-Muslim Hate Crime: UK Case Studies, was published by the University of Exeter and is part of a ten- year academic research project undertaken by its European Muslim Research Centre. Shamim Chowdhury reports from Bishop's Stortford, England.

#136 Driving Ambitions with Alistair Patrick Heselton
Alistair played for Wycombe Wanderers FC as a schoolboy and was then approached and signed by QPR - he played in the youth and reserves from the age of 17. During his time there he had a loan spell with Oldham Athletic scoring freely in the U19s. He suffered a torn cruciate ligament which halted his progress and after an 11-month recovery he never regained his normal self and decided to pursue a career in Quantity Surveying whilst playing semi-professionally with Northwood F.C in the Ryman Premier Division. He was then offered the opportunity to play professional football again with the Dutch 1st Division side Helmond Sport.
He returned home and played in the Nationwide Conference South with Bishops Stortford. After playing for a few semi-professional sides his career was supposedly ended in 2006 while playing at Wingate and Finchley, following a car crash in which his best friend died. Alistair was in a coma for 2 months and was told he may not walk again so he thought he would never play football again.
This also put a stop to his Quantity Surveying degree and having always liked cars and styling them he changed career and acquired a Totally Dynamic Franchise. Having not played football for 4 years he was contacted by the F.A about disability football but specifically CP football (for Cerebral Palsy or brain injury sufferers). He had always kept myself fit and so reluctantly started playing again. Since then Alistair has played in the CPISRA World Championships for England and represented ParalympicsGB at London 2012, contributing with 3 assists and scoring in the playoff game against Argentina.
You can connect with Alistair through his Twitter.

England 0-1 Czech Republic U17 International Friendly Highlights
England U17 Head Coach John Peacock congratulated the Czech Republic on their 1-0 defeat of England at Bishop's Stortford's Woodside Park.
Peacock's young side created a host of chances throughout the match, but Czech goalkeeper Radim Jehlicka had an inspired game and he repelled the Three Lions on a number of occasions.
And although he is disappointed with the result, Peacock was generous enough to praise the Czechs for the way they won the game, and pointed to their seventh-minute penalty miss and the fact they struck the woodwork shortly after Luca Kurusta's winner.
He must now regroup his charges ready for the final match of The FA International U17 Tournament, against Portugal at Sixfields Stadium on Sunday.
