Mexican Craftsmanship | Style Jaunt Puerto Vallarta : Video 1
Puerto Vallarta and fashion are two concepts that you wouldn’t usually put together. But hidden away among the hotels and tourists spots, one can find some of the best shopping in Mexico – you just need to know where to look. The journey starts at the Now Amber Puerto Vallarta Resort and Spa, and takes fashion bloggers Camille DG and Gracie Carroll into the city centre to Huaracheria Fabiola for a shoe design session with the very kind Antonio in this charming sandal factory. The girls not only learn how to make handmade leather shoes but get to make their own personally-designed pair.
The fashionistas then lead us up to a local art gallery and boutique called Mannmade Mexico, owned by curator and Californian expat Louise Mann. Mann works with Mexican artisans with various craftsmanship like Aztec Pottery or blow glass to create unique modern objects with a touch of traditional Mexican art to fuse “the old with the new” and create genre-defining Mexican home decor.
After sitting down with Mann and browsing through her studio, the girls pick up a few Mexico souvenirs and end the day having drinks at the outdoor restaurant & jazz club called El Patio de Mi Casa. It’s just down the street and it is one of the best Puerto Vallarta restaurants off the tourist radar.

Puerto Vallarta, Mexico 2019. For this travel guide, I’ll go over what to eat and see when you visit Puerto Vallarta Mexico. I’ll also give you a cost breakdown of food I bought while in Puerto Vallarta. This is a great destination that mixes modern with historic architecture. When deciding where to go in Mexico? You’re often choosing between Cabo, Cancun, Tulum and Puerto Vallarta if you’re looking for a beach atmosphere.
We choose Puerto Vallarta because provides a lot of things to do without being too touristy. Plus it has great food and affordable prices. My trip to Puerto Vallarta lasted a week and I already can’t wait to go back! I scored my flight from interjet for $207 roundtrip.
