From Wikipedia:
Humphrey Head is the traditional location for the killing of the last wolf in England, in about 1390. Folklore has it that the wolf descended the fells from near Coniston where it had caused havoc among the sheep flocks. After it attacked a child in Cark the country-folk chased it to the end of Humphrey Head where it was killed with pikes (spears) while hiding among the rocks.

Morecambe Bay is one of the most beautiful, and one of the most treacherous, bays in the whole of Britain. Yet, there are people who go miles out into the bay on tractors to catch the famous Morecambe Bay shrimps. I went out on one such day with one of the few remaining tractor shrimpers, Michael Wilson from Flookburgh in the Lake District, to record a dying breed.
Remember, old rust buckets of tractors only have one seat, and that is for the driver, and that driving across Morecambe Bay is like permanently driving over motorway rumble strips and you can imagine how my backside felt after a day out there making sure that we beat the tide back home.
This is a clip from my value for money, dvd Morecambe Bay Our Heritage Part 2 The Real Lancashire Coast North of The Sands .
Morecambe Bay is the second largest bay in the UK and the largest in the North West of England. It is a bay surrounded by beauty and heritage and Morecambe Bay Our Heritage Part 2.It takes us from Edwardian Grange over Sands via Flookburgh, Cartmel with its Prioryr, Races & Holker Hall, the Lakeland Motor Museum, Stott Park Bobbin Mill, the Haverthwaite & Lakeside Railway and finally ending at the historic port of Greenodd.

It is part of a series of acclaimed and award winning Our Heritage dvd's produced by me. The Wye Valley Our Heritage, The Lune Valley Our Heritage, Bittern Country Our Heritage, Morecambe Bay Our Heritage Part 1, 2 & 3 and more.
It is part of a whole series of films which I am making to try and show our traditional Christian heritage before it is lost forever under the tide of foreign religions, political correctness and external influences.(Edited at the insistance of my local authority to make it politically correct as they had received one complaint from an unnamed person)
I research, script, film and edit the Our Heritage videos to try to show the beauty & heritage of Britain. Our proud heritage, culture and judiciary in Britain are based upon christianity, whatever colour, shape or creed, and this base is fast being eroded. I am trying to illustrate in a non religious way what our past was really like by showing what heritage remains in our monasteries, abbeys, cathedrals, castles and towns and villages.
The films use respected local historians and experts. In addition to spending nearly two years filming on the ground in HD great deal of aerial filming was done by myself to show many things that cannot be seen from the ground.
