Lovers of the hospitality of Mexican people and neighborhoods, they easily get to know people. She loves trying different things every time, from food to outdoor adventures. Feeling the breeze while having a long ride at the malecón is one of her favorite things to do at the Pearl of the Pacific and of course, her Spanish lessons, something she doesn't miss. Lake Chapala/Jalisco, Mexico, a Paradise?
A very interesting photo/video show produced by a German/Canadian resident of Chapala for the last 7 years.
Many claim that this part of Mexico is a paradise. Why? Mainly because of its ideal climate, year round. During the winter season, Canadian and American Snowbirds come here to enjoy the mild weather. During the hot summer months in the south of the USA, Sweatbirds come here for the same reason, the weather. Many stay as permanent residents. There is beautiful and comfortable housing available, most with breathtaking views.
The images in this presentation are a documentation of the beauty of the area and you will understand why we like to live here.
Furthermore, the Mexican people are perfect hosts. They are friendly, honest and make you feel welcome and safe!
The lake itself is at an elevation of 1,500 meter/4,900 ft. The surrounding mountains are up to nearly 2,900 meter/9,500ft high. The annual average temperature is 26 Celsius/78 F.
Medical and Hospitals are very good, the International Airport Guadalajara, is only 30 Minutes away. Interesting folks meet here and form new friendships. This is not a tourist spot, but a spot from which you have a glance to paradise.

Hello Internet,
After sitting on all this Mexico footage for six months. I finally took the time to sit and edit this bad boy.
It took awhile but this is it. (Almost) Every single memory we had in Mexico.
Although, we didn’t record every single day we were there. We recorded the most adventurous parts of the trip. I’m a little down on not getting some footage with all the great people we met on this trip.
Not only were awesome relationships made but, our friendship bonds grew deeper and we plan to do another trip soon.
I know most of us probably watch the news and see how “dangerous” Mexico is. That is not completely true, everywhere in the world has dangerous locations. Mexico was beautiful and the people were friendly, kind, and happy.
I hope you enjoy this short movie. I hope it makes you laugh. I hope it gives you a kick in the butt to go out and explore this wonderful world. It is definitely spectacular.
