A Zulu Medicine Woman, Zululand, South Africa
This a local medicine woman, or healer, in a village in Zululand. It was interesting to watch her and listen to her speak, and then be translated by our guide. She explained some of the traditional means of healing people with minor physical or mental ailments.

Toy Run Cape Town - 12 Adventures Part 7!
Toy Run Cape Town - 12 Adventures Part 7!
The Toy Run 2018 in Cape Town was held on a windy summer day - and was my first Toy Run I've taken part in.
The Toy Run is an annual charity event held toward the end of each year in multiple locations around South Africa. Thousands of motorcyclists collect new and formerly loved toys from their friends and family, and take part in a mass ride to deliver them to collection points. From here, the organisation delivers the toys to underprivileged children around the country to ensure that they too, can receive gifts for Christmas.
This chapter of the Toy Run took place between the Grand Parade and Killarney Raceway in Cape Town.

The awesome band BCUC for the music:
In this latest episode of The Journey, in association with Zigzag (South Africa’s core surfing magazine), a team of intrepid South African surfers go on an epic overland adventure to Zambia, a landlocked country thousands of kilometres away from the nearest ocean, to surf a rare and powerful standing wave on the mighty Zambezi River. This is a tale of extreme adventure...
With surfboards strapped to the roof of a first-generation Toyota Fortuner, the crew including talented surfers, Koby Oberholzer and ex-World Championship Tour campaigner, Royden Bryson, set off from Durban on an unorthodox surf trip that would take them across South Africa, Botswana and finally, Zambia, covering well over 6 000 km’s on this journey...
After countless hours of driving, the crew finally reached the Zambezi River, which was crossed on an industrial barge ferry and made their way to Livingstone where the team stood in awe of the magnificent Victoria Falls.
The Zambezi River is wild and home to large crocodiles and hippos, not a place for surfers to be dipping their toes... The elusive standing wave on the Zambezi River is a rare phenomenon that hardly ever breaks, but when it does, it’s raw, powerful and laced with danger.
Armed with life vests, helmets and Nyami-Nyamis for protection in the gorge and on the river, Koby and Royden took a leap of faith and scored the wave of a lifetime.

Toronzo Cannon -
Growing up in the shadows Chicago's blues mecca, Theresa's Lounge, had a lasting effect on Toronzo Cannon. As a kid, Toronzo would listen to the raw, soulful sounds of legends like Junior Wells, Buddy Guy and Muddy Waters. It wasn't just the music that got me, but the effect on the people. I knew right then, that was what I was gonna do. After playing rhythm guitar with local artists like Wayne Baker Brooks and Joanna Connor, Toronzo decided to form his own band, The Cannonball Express. He immediately was in demand, playing some of Chicago’s greatest blues venues like Buddy Guy’s Legends, House of Blues, Kingston Mines, B.L.U.E.S, Blue Chicago, Lee's Unleaded as well as shows from Kentucky to Delaware and Iowa to Indiana. He also became a popular festival attraction, playing The Chicago Blues Festival for 8 consecutive years and the 2008 San Jose Blues Festival with other local young guns Chico Banks and Mike Wheeler. Internationally, Toronzo has been flown into Latvia as a featured solo artist three times over the past few years and has just completed a successful tour in Mexico, Durban South Africa and France 2011.
Mr. Melvin “Pooky Styx” Carlisle - drums. Carlisle has an impeccable drumming reputation with over 25 years of professional experience in the music industry. Carlisle was born and raised on the Southside of Chicago. Carlisle first exposure to the drums came from church. Carlisle began playing drums at the tender age of 7. Carlisle has made a living out of playing for the music, of focusing on what the song needs. Since he had to play music from different styles of music like rock, soul, funk, blues, and hip-hop, Carlisle had to be very well versed in all of those styles to make the songs sound and feel as authentic as possible. He has toured the world with musical legends ranging from KoKo Taylor, Sugar Blue, Carlos Johnson, Jimi Johnson, Chico Banks, Muddy Waters, Demetrius Taylor, and a host of others. In addition to being an internationally recognized drummer, he has endorsements with musical companies such as Ear Piece Technology, Slug, Sabian Cynbals, Vic Fifth Stick, and many more.
David Forte - bass: Dave Forte is currently the bass player for Toronzo Cannon, Lonnie Brooks and John Bruhnke's Sonic Soul. In the past Dave has played with many of modern blues legends; Jr. Wells, Son Seals, Jimmy Johnson, Hubert Sumlin, AC Reed, Lurrie Bell, John Primer, Elvin Bishop, Dave Spector, Eddie Clearwater, Michael Burks, and Rick Estrin, to name a few. He has played everywhere from Bill Clinton's White House to the US Ambassador's estate in Brussels to headlining the Chicago Blues Festival.
Adam Pryor has been studying keyboards since the age of 4 and currently tours across the world. Before the age of 21, he has performed in 23 states and 7 countries including the US, Canada, India, Spain, Germany, Switzerland and Belgium. Adam is well versed in Blues, Country, Rock and Jazz. He currently tours with Toronzo Cannon, Tom Hambridge, Lex Zeppelin, and Brandon Santini. He has shared the stage with some world’s top performers including Buddy Guy, Milky Chance, Joe Bonamassa, Eric Gales, Robert Randolph, Reese Wynans (of Double Trouble), Walter Trout, Dennis Provisor of the Grass Roots, Jellybean Johnson of Morris Day & The Time, Eric Marienthal & Sal Lozano of Gordon Goodwin’s Big Phat Band and dozens more.
