Irish National Heritage Park Wexford, RingFort Stayover - Review
In August 2017 we spent the night sleeping in a RingFort in the Irish National Heritage Park in Wexford.
We had the most amazing time, living like the early medival people of Ireland did, costumes and all.

Hill Fort at the Irish National Heritage Park
This is a mini-tour of the Ring Fort replica at the Irish National Heritage Park in Wexford Ireland. We spent a day exploring the park. The ringfort is modelled on that of a middle-ranking member of the Gaelic nobility, in the newly Christianised Ireland of 1500 years ago. It is surrounded by a strong oak palisade with a tall watch-tower.
The park is a great Day trip. Lonely Planet describes it as: “Over 9000 years of Irish history are squeezed together at this open-air museum. After a short audiovisual presentation, choose a guided or audio self-guided tour, taking in re-creations of a Neolithic farmstead, stone circle, ring fort, monastery, crannóg (artificial island), Viking shipyard and Norman castle (on the site of original Norman fort remains).”
Our Re-inactor guide was Great. We would like to credit him but we have misplaced his name. If you recognize him please tell us who he is; so we can Credit his performance. This little video program is no replacement for a direct in person visit. Go see it for yourself
