Gorgeous golden statue came into the eyes of the French Quarter in hankyeon. View of a woman marching vigorously, the hero Joan of Arc in France. So why did the standing statue of Joan of Arc in the heart of downtown New Orleans? Statue had to ask questions to a family and enjoy the view. Not between Did you know that statue? Who knows personally. I was proud to think. The famous statue is donated by the French in New Orleans. Possibly due to Joan of Arc was known as the saint of Orleans. As the French are like the Statue of Liberty, a gift to the Americans (also seems like that) I have always I liked the statue in 1718, the French were named after the city where Joan of Arc salvation is laying the city It was the beginning of a city call it Nouvelle Orleans.

On the Road at the Speed of Mike S01E16 - Louisiana - New Orleans
Road trip into Louisiana and New Orleans. This was one of my better stops on the trip. While I had visited New Orleans before in 2008, I hadn't given it the time it deserved although part of that may have had something to do with hurricane Katrina having occurred more recently. While I only spent a full day in the city, I managed to take in a lot of the best sites, stopping in...

Places to see in ( Orleans - France )
Places to see in ( Orleans - France )
Orléans is a city on the banks of the Loire River in north-central France, and it’s the capital of the Centre-Val de Loire region. Joan of Arc famously saved the city from English siege in 1429, an event celebrated with an annual festival. A re-creation of the house where she stayed during the battle, the Maison de Janne d’Arc, features multimedia exhibits on her life.
Orleans is a city in north-central France, about 111 kilometres (69 mi) southwest of Paris. Orleans is the capital of the Loiret department and of the Centre-Val de Loire region. Orléans is located on the Loire River where the river curves south towards the Massif Central. New Orleans (French: La Nouvelle-Orléans), in Louisiana, United States, is named after the city.
TAO manages buses and tram lines in Orléans. Orléans is an autoroute intersection : the A10 (linking Paris to Bordeaux) links to the commune outskirts, and A71 (whose bridge over the Loire is outside the commune limits) begins here, heading for the Mediterranean via Clermont-Ferrand (where it becomes the A75). Orléans is served by two main railway stations: the central Gare d'Orléans and the Gare des Aubrais-Orléans, in the northern suburbs. Most long-distance trains call only at the Les Aubrais-Orléans station, which offers connections to Paris, Lille, Tours, Brive-la-Gaillarde, Nevers, and several regional destinations.

Emmanuel Fremiet, Joan of Arc, Place des Pyramides, Paris
wikipedia.org:
The original statue was commissioned by the French government following the defeat of the country in the 1870 Franco-Prussian War. It is the only public commission of the French state during the period 1870-1914, called the Golden Age of statuary in Paris, the other statues were funded by private subscriptions.
The sculptor Emmanuel Fremiet, took as his model Aimee Girod (1856-1937), a young woman from Domremy, Joan of Arc's village in Lorraine. The artist, who made another version of the monument for the city of Nancy in 1889, replaced 10 years later the horse of the Parisian monument by a copy of the smaller Nancy one, which earned him criticism.
The statue was inaugurated in 1874. The pedestal was designed by the architect Paul Abadie. The monument was classified as a historic monument, on March 31, 1992.
Reviving a tradition from the far-right leagues, on every May Day, the National Front holds an annual ceremony in honor of Joan of Arc at the statue.

ST LOUIS CATHEDRAL Catholic Church - New Orleans #Travel | Things to Do in New Orleans | LaneVids
I took my 9 month old daughter to the St. Louis Cathedral in New Orleans, LA to shoot a travel video about how cool this catholic church is in the heart of the Crescent City. ???? You HAVE to watch our latest video! ????
In the middle of Jackson Square in New Orleans, LA stands a huge catholic cathedral which is the oldest catholic church that is still in operation in the United States.
Some of the things that we saw while exploring this cathedral was the Old Baptistry, the Lobby of the cathedral and the gift shop. We checked out some of the statues around the church and all of the beautiful ornate artwork inside.
On the side of the St. Louis Cathedral is Pirate Alley which we walked down and I have some history about it. We also took a look at the back of the cathedral and they were renovating it for St. Anthony's Garden.

Joan of Arc Message for March 2019--Resist Seduction from the Dark
I avoid the news, but this week, some of the news caught my attention. So, I meditated and I asked Joan of Arc (one of my spirit guides) questions about leadership, especially young leadership and the pitfalls that lie on the path.
