Elk Creek Campground, Gunnison Colorado
Take a drive with us through Elk Creek Campground... It is on the North shore of beautiful Blue Mesa Reservoir. This lake is Colorado's largest body of water with 96 miles of shoreline and the largest Kokanee Salmon fishery in the United States.
The campground sits an altitude of 7,540 feet, and is surrounded by a vast expanse of sagebrush. Trees are scarce because the reservoir gets less than 12 inches of rain a year
Elk Creek is part of the Curecanti National Recreation Area, which was named after a Ute Indian chief of the mid-19th century.
There's a marina adjacent to the campground that's open late spring to early fall. Concession run coin operated showers are nearby, open during summer months.. Cell phone service is limited. Electric hookups are in Loop D only..
Fishing near the Colorado River in Fruita Colorado
There are many great little spots to bring the family fishing in Fruita Colorado.

North Fork Reservoir
The 350-acre North Fork Reservoir near Estacada offers fisherman and boaters a perfect spot to relax and play.
Lamar Colorado. The open prairies of Colorado! HOME!
This campground is for the rugged, well, open minded country folks. Nice ppl here, it is what it is.
Explore Our Parks the Paint Mines
We're taking a tour of the Paint Mines Interpretive Park. The park sits right outside of Calhan and is one of only three Hoodoos in the country. This place is beautiful and you should definitely go check it out.

Right at the base of mount Sherman, this road has a ton of huge camping spots right off of it. The road starts out paved and then goes to dirt, but the quality is not bad. About 10 miles in, you will start to see camping spots on both the right and the left. Right in between the mountains and a river, the nature here is astounding!
