The mining heritage of Thames in The Coromandel

Your journey starts here Thames was once one of New Zealand's biggest towns, attracting people from around the world. The heritage town continues to attract people for it's natural resources. The Pinnacles Walk, Sleeping God Canyon, the Sunset Coast and the Hauraki Rail Trail are some of the world class attractions that bring visitors to the heritage town.
The Coromandel is a year round visitor destination - Hidden Treasures series filmed in the middle of New Zealand winter 2012.

The Pinnacles Birthday Trip (A Cinematic Vlog)

To start a new decade of my life, I wanted to do something different. I wanted to go back to one of my favorites, the wilderness! We planned to take the Pinnacles track in the Coromandel Forest Park and spend the night at the Pinnacles Hut on October 14, 2019 (my birthday). We knew that it would be rainy that day so we checked the Visitor Centre in the Kauaeranga Valley first. After they told us that it was okay to take the track, we went up the mountain to have one of the best adventures of our lives. Due to bad weather, we ended up staying at the Hut for 3 days and 2 nights, the something different which I wanted.
