Put in Bay Travel Guide
There aren’t too many places you can visit in Ohio that make you feel like you’re in the Florida Keys, but Put-in-Bay is one of them. Put-in-Bay is a village on South Bass Island in Lake Erie, and the island vibe is in full force.
For nearly 200 years the island has been a place for adults and children to party their cares away. To many people, Put-in-Bay is the premier place to drink and go wild, but it is also a place to relax and explore.
The island is only 3.7 miles long and 1.5 miles wide, but there is enough to do for a week-long trip. From national historical monuments to family fun centers as well as shopping and dining, this island has your vacation needs covered.

Insane Kayaker Finds An Abandoned Ghost Ship And Actually Goes Inside
For most, kayaking goes something like this: you rent a kayak from a dirty beach-side hovel, lug it out to the water, and spend about 45 sweat-filled minutes trying to coordinate paddle strokes until, ultimately, you just park it on a sand bar and tan.
For the experts among us, though, kayaks can be fantastic tools for sea-faring exploration. Agile and able to generate some serious speed, these vessels can navigate shallow waters and tight bends where a bigger boat might fail—and that often leads to some awesome opportunities.
