-- About this video --
Today we are joining Wilsons Abel Tasman for a day full of activities in the Abel Tasman National Park! We’re first taking a Wilsons Abel Tasman Water Taxi to Split Apple Rock then Torrent Bay where we are then going to kayak in Abel Tasman. After we reach another beach, we then have the choice to return to Torrent Bay by Kayak or to walk back via the Abel Tasman Coastal Track which is the Abel Tasman Great Walk of New Zealand.
It’s a stunning Abel Tasman Water Taxi ride to Split Apple Rock and other bays in the Abel Tasman National Park. We are dropping off hikers on other bays until it is our turn to jump off the boat with our tour group at Torrent Bay where our Abel Tasman kayak adventure begins.
We have an awesome group of backpackers in our tour led by a guide who gives us a lesson in double kayaking in the Abel Tasman National Park. Then we are ready to hit the water and discover Abel Tasman’s islands, bays and coves. There’s wildlife in the Abel Tasman National Park to see too.
After about an hour we arrive on Medlands Beach for some lunch and our halfway point. We now get to choose whether we kayak back to Torrent Bay or hike in Abel Tasman. We opt for the hike which is the Abel Tasman Coastal Track. The Abel Tasman Coast Track is one of New Zealand’s Great Walks.
The Abel Tasman Coastal Track takes us over swing bridges and through regenerating native forest with views of secluded beaches along the way. We are stoked to be able to do a Great Walk during our 365 Days: 365 Activities.
Once we return, we meet up with the rest of our Wilsons Abel Tasman tour group and catch the Abel Tasman water taxi back to Kaiteriteri!
So what do you think of the Great Walk & Kayak in Abel Tasman National Park? Would you kayak in Abel Tasman or do the Abel Tasman Great Walk? Let us know in the comments!

Hi Leute,

KAYAKING in ABEL TASMAN NATIONAL PARK
Check out our full blog post on kayaking in Abel Tasman National Park here:
We spent an amazing 3 days hiking and kayaking in Abel Tasman National Park on the south island of New Zealand, and it proved to be one of the highlights of our time in the country.
Abel Tasman National Park is one of the most popular parks in New Zealand, and it's easy to see why. Stunning beaches and wineglass coves are found all around the place, with glistening, turquoise seas lapping at the golden sands. A perfect place for sea kayaking!
We did this adventure with Abel Tasman Kayaks, the best sea kayaking adventure company in the area. They take care of everything for you - supplying the kayaks and paddling gear, cooking the food, organising your campsites, providing camping gear, etc. Highly recommend them on your next trip to New Zealand!
Our clothing and camping gear comes from Kathmandu, Australia and New Zealand's premier adventure company.

-- About this video --
Today we are heading to Tata Beach to start a kayak adventure with Golden Bay Kayaks! We are kayaking in Golden Bay and even kayaking into the Abel Tasman National Park to the lesser-known side of Abel Tasman National Park.
We meet our awesome guide from Golden Bay Kayaks who gears us up with a double kayak, gives us some paddling tips, then we hit the water to kayak in Golden Bay. We head straight for the Abel Tasman National Park on the Golden Bay side.
Kayaking in Golden Bay brings us to the rugged side of Abel Tasman National Park with rugged granite coastal cliffs, secluded beaches and islands. We see seals and two of the largest shag colonies in New Zealand. This kayaking trip in Golden Bay is full of wildlife encounters.
We even kayak through a Hole in the Rock in the Abel Tasman National Park before making our way back to Golden Bay. After Kayaking in Golden Bay, we hit the road to the other side of the Abel Tasman National Park where we stay at The Barn in Marahau. We have more Abel Tasman National Park exploring to do tomorrow.
So what do you think of kayaking in Golden Bay? Is Golden Bay Kayaks an activity you would love to do in New Zealand?

We took a trip up to Marahau in the Abel Tasman National Park to do some Kayaking in the ocean! We did a day trip with Abel Tasman Kayaks, led by our mate Kyle. Such an awesome day exploring secluded beaches, tiny islands, caves and checking out sunbathing baby fur seals. Our trip was short but we definitely made the most of it!

Thanks to our partners in Abel Tasman, Hanmer Springs and Kaikoura for making this trip possible:

Abel Tasman Kayaks
8 On Oregon (Hanmer Springs)
Austin Heights (Kaikoura)
In this vlog, we explored parts of the coastline around the Abel Tasman National Park, in a kayak! It was incredibly flat water and perfect conditions for kayaking! Luckily I was able to take my cameras with me and capture the event, along with the rest of our time in Abel Tasman with Greg from the Adventure Inn.
Following on, we then drove through Lewis Pass to Hanmer Springs and then onwards to Kaikoura.
