Hey guys! It's been a while! I have another vlog for you, this time all the way from the British Virgin Islands! It was truly a blessing to be able to spend quality time with family and friends! The trip was 9 days long so it was a lot of content that I will be splitting up into 3 parts. Here is part 1! Hope you enjoy!

This video accompanies the blog post in our Sailing the BVI's Series. We started this day in Leverick Bay in the North Gorda Sound and sailed to an isolated Bay off Peter Island and then stayed the night in Soper's hole on the West side of Tortola.

Salt Island, BVI
Salt Island is one of the islands of the archipelago of the British Virgin Islands. No roads and no residents, it only has salt ponds, which were once an important resource when the island was home to over 100 residents.
Salt Island is also notable for the wreck of the royal mail steamer, RMS Rhone, and its last resident Norwell Durant, the Salt Man. Video from islandlowdown.com.
Jost Van Dyke - British Virgin Islands
Thank you for viewing this video about my sailing cruise travels aboard the Guiding Light. In this video, we will start exploring Jost Van Dyke as we continue traveling through the British Virgin Islands.
As we begin our sailing cruise, we first visit the Bubbly Pool on the east end of the island. Then, as we head west, we stop at Sandy Key. The first harbor we arrive at later is Little Harbor, a quiet cove with a few restaurants. Then, we go to the gorgeous White Bay, home of the Soggy Dollar Bar. Our final stop is Great Harbor, home to the local settlement and Foxy's Bar.

As we begin our sailing cruise, we first visit the British gun emplacement, containing some old cannons that are in surprisingly good shape. Next, we make our way to Crooked Island, which used to thrive from its cotton plantations. Finally, we get to see Long Cay, Castle Island, and Hogsty Reef.

Sailing the British Virgin Islands, Marina Cay
We set out from the North Sound of Virgin Gorda in 35 knot winds and sailed on a beam reach down to Marina Cay in 10-12 ft swells. We had lunch, hiked to the top of the island, did some snorkeling and got some sun. What a perfect day!

This was my last day in the BVI until i go back! I was kinda sad but it was a trip i will remember the rest of my life. This is the most beautiful place Id ever been to, it was like heaven on earth.
