Phraya Nakhon Cave - Khao Sam Roi Yot National Park - Hua Hin Thailand
Exploring Phraya Nakhon Cave has been my most memorable experience so far during my time in Thailand.
Before visiting Hua Hin, I hadn't heard of the place - but luckily for me, I was told about it from a local.
My journey to Phraya Nakhon Cave started at the entrance to Khao Sam Roi Yot National Park, in Prachuap Khiri Khan province.
The climb to the cave took me about an hour and a half (including time for taking the video) and was divided into two parts.
You can either climb up and across the hill - which I did to capture that amazing view - or take a 5 minute longtail boat to Laem Sala beach. I suggest taking the boat if you want to save a bit of time and/or conserve some energy.
The second part of the hike starts at Laem Sala beach. You'll see signs that point to the start of the rocky path to Phraya Nakhon Cave. About half way up the climb is a view point, and a well needed resting point, where you'll be treated to some more great views of the beach and neighboring islands.
The climb up the hill goes through a forested section, where I came across some monkeys chilling high above in some trees. From there, it's just another 20 - 30 minutes to the base of the cave...
...and the reward was awesome! I really hope you enjoy the footage:)

HUA HIN THAILAND - PHRAYA NAKHON CAVE, KUI BURI NATIONAL PARK, CHOPSTICKS HILL,
Today we're in Hua Hin Thailand.
Hua Hin Thailand is about 3 hours south of Bangkok.
Hua Hin has a fishing village heritage which it still holds onto. The small city revolves around its seafood and strategic position on the shores of the Gulf of Thailand. It has also become a holiday and weekend destination for many Bangkok locals. It is vibrant yet less crowded than Bangokok. Every night many roads are closed off and come alive with street night markets. The main street market rivals some of the best in Bangkok.
We stayed here for its strategic position as a base with which to venture on daytips to some amazing places. Firstly we visit Chopsticks Hill in Hua Hin. From here we visit Khao Sam Roi Yot National park which includes the Phraya Nakhon Cave and the mystical temple within. This is one of the most spectacular sights in all of Thailand. Please stick around for that. It really is a mysterious, surreal experience. It almost feels like you're in an Indiana Jones movie!
From there we go to Kui Buri National Park. Here we go on safari on the back of an SUV searching for Elephants. It is highly reccommended, as you'll see many other animals on the way as you drive through the deep dark, brooding rainforest.
We stayed at the beautiful Chalelarn hotel. It is arguably one of the best hotels in Hua Hin with its authentic decor, sea views, rooftop pool and central position in town.
So this is Hua Hin, Lets check it out.

@Khao Sam Roi Yot National Park
Khao Sam Roi Yot is a marine national park in Kui Buri District, Prachuap Khiri Khan Province, Thailand. The park was established in 1966, and was the first coastal national park of Thailand.
We climbed up at Khao Dang viewpoint, maraming Unggoy ang nasa puno...INGAT! Baka ang camera ay kunin ng unggoy(hehehe). Khao Dang viewpoint is truly a spectacular place worth it na mag spend ng time at effort(mahirap pero ang sarap lumanghap ng sariwang hangin sa tuktok ng bundok..
We visited also Phraya Nakhon Cave - (Hua Hin Cave)
Nakatago ang cave near the seaside resort of Hua Hin in rural southern Thailand. The magnificent gold and green Kukha Karuhas pavilion, the smallest temple in Thailand, is a religious landmark found in the Phraya Nakhon Cave, one of Thailand’s most beautiful and most photographed caves. A popular tourist attraction, the giant limestone cave has trees reaching for its rooftop openings. However, its remote location makes it challenging to get to and limits the number of visitors who are able to catch a glimpse of this stunning sight.
Consisting of two chambers, each with a rooftop opening that allows the sun to shine through, the cave’s atmosphere is tranquil and serene. The in-flowing sunlight contrasts with the cave’s darkness to create a mystical sensation. A forest growing within the cave makes it a bright and colourful natural attraction.
The Phraya Nakhon Cave is located in the depths of the Khao Sam Roi Yot National Park in Thailand’s Prachuap Khiri Khan province. To get there, prepare yourself for a long, hot trek. You will begin by taking a 45-minute drive from Hua Hin to the small village of Bang Pu located by the beach. Along the way, you will be treated to magnificent views of beaches, mountains, and forests.
From there, you travel either by boat around the cape to the Laem Sala Beach or hike for 30 minutes across the hill. The boat ride costs 150 to 200 baht per person round trip and can be combined with a visit to Monkey Island, while the hike consists of tracks and stairs with viewing platforms along the way. At the beaches of Bang Pu village and Laem Sala, you will find restaurants and small shops to visit.
Two hundred years ago, a Thai man named Chao Praya Nakhon Sri Thammarat sought cover from the rain and discovered a cave. Named after this man, the Praya Nakhon cave is home to Thailand’s smallest temple.

Thailand Sam Roi Yot, Thung Sam Roi Yot | Episode 5 | Season 2
#Thailand #Prachuapkhirikhan #Samroiyot
Thung Sam Roi Yot is located on the other side of the Khao Sam Roi Yot National Park, it is home local fishermen and birds that normally migrate during a curtain month.
Thung Sam Roi Yot offers true beauty rawness and its the last place i wanted to showcase in its full glory. During this episode i also talk about my time here in the Khao Sam Roi Yot, i mostly reflect and thinking about the things i've learned personally on how Thai culture functions and getting a closer connection with my Thai roots.

Full summary of the park
Sam Roi Yot has a variety of bird species located in the large area, they are mainly concentrated on the wetlands itself with that ever so beautifull mountain view in the background. Other than bird species they have a species of monkeys, water monitors and even porcupines but those might be rare to find.
You are also able to find a rich history of Thai Chinese folklore such as how it got named Sam Roi Yot ( mountain 300 peaks ) that is the famous story of Mong Lai which you can google if you like to know more.
And speaking of Thai - Chinese, the area has traces of chinese people who came here centuries ago and there influence is seen today in their Chinese burial site and its temples. To this day most of the people in Sam Roi Yot still maintain there Chinese ancestors traditions and there customs.
There is also another gem which is actually my favorite place in the park. Its on the other side of the main park, which is called Thung Sam Roi Yot. This awesome fresh water marsh with an amazing view of mountains has magnificent boardwalks that go through the water marshes for you to enjoy the sunset or even if you're an early bird the sunrise.

Hello mga hampas lupa!
My part two video of my Hua Hin trip is now up in Youtube. In this video, you'll see other tourist attractions in Hua Hin Thailand that we visited such as the Khao Sam Roi Yot National Park and the caves and viewpoints in it. We visited some beaches and night markets too.
I tried making some improvements in terms of the pacing of the clips and also with some of the editing. Pardon my being a newbie in editing tho. Also, this one is a bit longer than the first one since I merged day 2 and 3 in one video. If you haven't watched the first video, here's the link:
