Ota-jinja
Ota-jinja is one of the oldest shrines in Kyoto. Having been established originally by the powerful Kamo clan, the shrine has grown over the centuries into a center of faith for people in this ancient city, and is now the scene of several festivals and ceremonies which go back hundreds of years. The shrine houses an interesting Shinto deity called Ame-no-uzume, the goddess of laughter and revelries who played a key role in Shinto mythology. The shrine has long been loved for the field of wild kakitsubata irises which have bloomed around the shrine for hundreds of years, and have been celebrated in Japanese poetry and literature.

【How to use 手水舎(Chohzusha)】~Correct manners~
Beware to the water shop. Take a ladle with your right hand and scoop up your hands. First purify your left hand with its handwash.
Then change the ladle to the left hand and purify the right hand with the same action.
Next, change the ladle on the right hand to rinse mouth again, store the hand water in the palm on the left and put it in the mouth (do not put a mouth directly on the bowl of the ladle). Rinse mouth with no sound and cleanse, gently spit out. Clear the left hand again with the previous action.
Finally hold the handle of the ladle with one hand, tilt the bowl portion upwards, rinse the handle with rinse water. Gently put the ladle back to its original position and bow.

VLOG 2: Ohara day 1, Hiking Mt. Konpirasan (Kyoto, Japan)
Hiking the mountains, enjoying the beauty of the nature of Japan and staying in an onsen, a hot spring bath house, in a small village just outside of Kyoto.
First of all, I would like to apologize for taking so long with editing and uploading this vlog. It took a lot of work and I hope that the result is worth the wait. I am sorry for making you wait! The second day is also almost ready and it will not take me long to finish it.
This two-day trip to Ohara took place at the end of July 2018. The weather stayed sunny and very hot for the past few weeks. High humidity and also being surrounded by mountains on three sides made temperatures in Kyoto almost unbearable. So, to escape the heat and the crowds of one of the most visited cities of Japan we headed to a small village located on the northern side of Kyoto. Don't get me wrong, the ancient capital of Japan is very beautiful, full of history and definitely should be high on the list of places to visit, but exceptionally popular locations could make other nearby gems go unnoticed. In this vlog I would like to show you a very different side of Kyoto. Hiking or climbing is probably not something that comes first to the mind when thinking about coming here, but the surrounding mountains are actually rich of beautiful green forests filled with well-kept hiking trails. And don’t worry, there are no places here where you couldn't visit some temples on the way. Although Kyoto is not an onsen city, there are a few hot springs in its vicinity, one of which we visited for the first time on this trip.
Ohara is a small village in a valley between two mountain ridges, which also separate it from the central Kyoto, but technically from administrative point of view Ohara is still a part of Kyoto City. The plan was to take a bus and leave a bit earlier, before reaching the final destination, at the place named Todera so that we could hike over Mount Konpirasan to the onsen ryokan, Ohara no Sato, we booked the previous day. During the hike we would visit some shrines, Ebumi Jinja and Kotohira Shingu Shrine, and after arriving to Ohara, depending on the time we have, we would visit some temples in the area, which are very famous for their beauty and historical importance. The hike was not that long, and Mt. Konpirasan is only 573 meter high, so the plan was very realistic unless you try to vlog and film everything as much as I did. We couldn’t make it all on the same day but next morning before going back to Kyoto we visited Jakkoin Temple and Sanzenin Temple, which are the two main temple of the area. To keep the length of the vlog somehow under control, I had to split the second day as a separate entity.
There are quite many Konpirasan named mountains in Japan, the most famous probably being the one located at Shikoku island which is the smallest one of the four main islands of Japan. Because of Japanese characters often have more than just one pronunciation, the name of the mountain we hiked can be also read as Konpirayama. There are also Kompirasan and Kompirayama variants on internet which reflect the fact that “n” before “p” is actually pronounced as “m” in Japanese language.
For the full disclosure and not to cause any misunderstanding I need to mention that I have altered some scenes by adding English transliterations to the location names directly on signs. This was done to improve the possibility of the Japanese non-speaking viewers to immerse themselves into the video. In reality most of the signs on the trail don’t have English equivalents next to the Japanese ones.
Once again, I am sorry for making you wait for so long and thank you very much for watching! I hope you liked the video. Please also consider subscribing because more content is on the way! You can find me also on:

For the most part the video is shot in Full HD with C-Log. Only some clips from the main camera were shot in 4K for the ability to zoom in. Eating scenes were shot on a phone in 4K and without flat profile. For editing I used Adobe Premiere Pro and Adobe After Effects. The graphics were made in Adobe Illustrator. I have purchased a stock footage package of ink drops to use for special effect during introduction speech but everything else was filmed by us two.

【 Yamatotakeru no mikoto 】
His father is the 12th Emperor named Keiko(景行天皇) and mo-
ther is Empress named Harima no inabi no ooiratsume(播磨稲日大郎姫)
There is also a theory that it is a fictitious person who integrated Yamato 's heroes from the 4th century to the 7th century because it has similar results to the scenic emperor and the royal emperor who are going to conquer to various places.

Japan Shinto Shrine named Hieta-Jinja #
God:Homutawake no mikoto
as Mikado of Ojin
Date:August 19 (Sun) Panasonic Lumix FZ 1000
Location :3-2-10, Kamata, Ota-ku in Tokyo
BGM :Sunspots / Jaremy Blake
【 About Homutawake no mikoto as Mikado of Ojin 】
From where did he come ??
There is a theory that Mikado of Ojin ( 応神天皇) is the great king of the Equestrian ethnic group called Buyeo tribes (夫余族) and its roots go far to West Asia and Israel
Historical story of ancient Korea called History of the Three Kingdoms (三国史記, Baekje Notes· Distribution of Distribution) said that Founder of Baekje is Furu King (沸流王), father is a grandchild of Northern Buyeo King・Yu Luo (Kaifuru, Heburu =解夫婁)( a grandchild other than the grandchildren) saying a favored (Utopai, Ute =優台) and his mather's name is Sosono (召西奴) and is a daughter of Yon Tarbal (延陀勃) in Sorubon Buyeo (卒本夫余) ,and is the mother of Baekje founding country ~ From Wikipedia ~
【Origin of Yahata God】
The current northern part of Usa in Oita prefecture, It started in the legend that the god of Yahata appeared in this pond at Misumike (御澄池) in Komo-Jinja ( 薦「こも」神社 in Osada=
That is ...
~ A long time ago, a beautiful young boy (yuraba) appeared from the clean and clear lake of Oirumi pond, stands in the grass (papyrus aquatic plant) growing along the shore,
We are the gods of Jahata, saying that you made a pillow of ark with grass for the sake of me, and let it be a God.
~ This legend is a reminder of the secret story of the birth of Moses appearing in the book of Judaism sacred book · Tanaf shimotto. ~
Since this time, this shrine has cut down the grass growing on the lakeside, made an ark, and dedicated this to the Usa Hachiman and the like as a dedicated body. ···That's it.
Yawata (八幡) is now read as Hachiman, but in the past it was called Yahata, and in the older it was called Yahada.
Currently, although the Yahata God is equated with Mikado of Ojin (応神天皇), there is no description that Yawata God was Emperor Empress in Kojiki or Nihon Shoki.
Furthermore, according to the Kojiki, it is clearly said that the god of Yahata is the god of god, the god of foreign countries.
Mikado of Ojin was Emperor who accepted Mr.Hata (秦氏) when he came to Japan with many people, and in the past he was worshiping this Yahata god with Mr. Hata.
Yahata is exactly the meaning of Yehuda representing the Jewish people in Hebrew, God of Yahata means God of Yehuda.
In other words, it may be that many Japanese are worshiping this god of Judea.
By the way, Japanese as Warabe seems to be from the ancient Hebrew word Warad Ben = a young boy ...
Okazaki Shrine Kyoto

This video is Japan through the seasons with stargazing inspired by my recent hobby of studying Japanese. I felt this would be the perfect creative compilation for this original song. So inspired I enlisted the help of one of my new friends and language partners, Tsukasa, which he contributed to some of the video clips you see in this music video from the area in Japan that he lives. I then contacted and collaborated with the below videographers
