La Lucha Sanguchería - Right in the heart of Miraflores, across from Kennedy Park, is the extremely popular La Lucha Sanguchería. I wasn’t going to leave Lima without trying it, so we decided to eat there for breakfast before the Lima apartment tour. The coffee was a little weak for me, but the chicharron pork sandwich was amazing and the fries were outstanding. Total price - 41.50 PEN ($12.52)

The jungle city of Iquitos - Iquitos Peru
Iquitos is in the heart of Peru's northern jungle, and the gateway to exploring the Amazon.
Its the capital of Loreto, a region that makes up a third of Peru's territory.
The city lies on the banks of a secondary branch of the Amazon, just a short distance from where it meets the Napo and Nanay Rivers.
In the floating barrio of Belén canals replace streets, and homes are built on stilts or rafts that rise and fall with the river. Iquitos is the starting point for journeys to a range of forest lodges and jungle retreats.
In this flooded landscape, people depend more on boats than on cars. It is said that Iquitos is the largest city in the world that cannot be reached by road. A zoo on the outskirts of town offers the chance to see the birds, animals and monkeys native to the region up close.
Along the riverfront old colonial mansions built during the rubber boom mix with modern restaurants along a causeway covered in mosaic tiles.
The most famous building is the Iron House, designed and constructed by Gustave Eiffel.
Brought in pieces from Europe, it was the first pre-fabricated building in Latin America.
Its been restored and is now a restaurant with views of the citys main square.

It is now known that many of the famous megaliths of Cusco and the Sacred Valley of Peru were made thousands of years prior to the existence of the Inca. Their elongated skull relatives of the coast of Peru may have been not only ancestors, but also immigrants from a different continent. Brien explores the pre-Incan cultures of South America and the true origins of the Inca Empire.
After completing an Honours Bachelor Of Science degree, Brien decided to take up carving and sculpture full time, at the age of 25. In 1995 he moved to Maui, Hawaii, and was hired as assistant project manager for the building of the 62 foot double hull sailing canoe ( ancestor of the modern day catamaran ) Mo'okiha O Pi'ilani ( Sacred Lizard That Pierces The Heavens. ) This project lasted 2 years. Peru became his next major area of interest. He is associated with Lloyd Pye of the Starchild project, who is analyzing the DNA of elongated human skulls of the Peruvian Paracas culture on his behalf.

The people of the Pacific known by most as Polynesians remain a mystery to scholars and the public alike as to their origins. While most academics in the fields of archaeology and anthropology strongly insist that they exclusively came from south east Asia, other researchers, and the oral traditions of the people themselves often differ with this opinion. The presence of red hair, called Ehu in Hawaii and Uru Kehu in some of the ancient and present populations suggest connections, in the distant past, with sea farers from coastal Peru, especially the Paracas, to account for this. The famous explorer Thor Heyerdahl was insitent that there were ancient connections between Peru and the Pacific Islands, and this book attempts to solve this riddle, without delving into Celtic or other possible European ancestry. Come explore the possibilities through science, wind directions, sea currents, sculpture, and oral traditions.
