These guys really gave it their all, I think they all did the quarter in 16 or 17 seconds. I didn't know these big expensive working machines would be subjected to this kind of abuse but it was great to watch.
Solidarity Rally for Striking Bonfield Workers
On Saturday, October 5, hundreds of workers from across Ontario and members of the community drove to the rural Northern Ontario town of Bonfield to support 16 striking municipal workers. Five of these workers have been fired by Bonfield Mayor Randall McLaren, who is trying to force the workers to accept concessions, which include the outsourcing of their work. The Ontario Federation of Labour organized the rally to support the members of CUPE 4616 and send a message to conservative politicians, like Mayor McLaren, that every worker deserves a good job with dignity and respect.
