1000 Islands Summer Trip | Vlog 48
The 1000 Islands (pronounced “Thousand Islands,” not “One Thousand Islands”) is a sightseer’s paradise and a popular destination for those looking for an authentic outdoor vacation. Located along the peaceful border between northern New York State (USA) and southeastern Ontario (Canada)
Vacationers have been coming to the 1000 Islands for more than 150 years to enjoy its breathtaking beauty. Waters that were once patrolled by pirates (yes … pirates!) and Prohibition bootleggers are now cruised by cottagers who enjoy serene bays and vacationers who tour aboard guided trips and hear the astonishing stories behind the islands.
Lighthouses, historic castles, maritime museums, world-class fishing and diving, quaint downtown shopping, on-the-water dining, family amusements and more make the 1000 Islands a destination that visitors come to again and again.

BCP London v Kingston final 4th April 1987
The final BCP London v Kingston, the only time Brunel beat Kingston, to secure the National Championship. Man of the Match, Julio Politi totally outplayed/outscored Kingstons best player Steve Bontrager. Little did we know that this would be BCP's last game. Thanx to John Kirkland for inspiring me to upload this video, with his book Ducking & Diving.
Rozi Wreck Dive – Cirkewwa, Malta with St. Andrews Divers Cove
The Rozi was a tug boat that was scuttled in 1992 as an underwater attraction for tourists on submarine tours. The submarine trips no longer operate, but this wonderful little tug boat continues to sit perfectly upright on a sandy bottom within a rocky amphitheatre. The ship is now well colonized and all areas of the superstructure and bridge work are accessible to divers. Read more

A Visit to Cobourg - Ontario's Feel-Good Town
Cobourg, 95 kilometres (59 miles) east of Toronto, is the largest town in and seat of Northumberland County in Southern Ontario. Cobourg retains its small-town atmosphere in part due to the downtown and surrounding residential area's status as a Heritage Conservation District. The downtown is a well-preserved example of a traditional small-town main street. Victoria Hall, the town hall completed in 1860, is a National Historic Site of Canada, according to Wikipedia.
One of the town's main attraction is Cobourg Beach, site of the popular Sandcastle Festival. There were at least 10 master sculptors who participated in the event that ended Aug. 5. Sandsculpting lessons were provided during the event. The intermittent rains on Monday, Aug. 7 left some of the sand sculptures barely intact.
Wreck Diving in Newfoundland, Canada
Ocean Quest is the proud protector of four world war 2 shipwrecks, all upright, intact, in excess of 400 feet, all sunk by U-Boat torpedoes in 1942, and in fantastic condition. The four wrecks, the PLM-27, Saganaga, Lord Strathcona, and Rose Castle, range in depth from 50-110 feet to their decks, with the deepest feature being a U-Boat torpedo sitting on the bottom near the Rose Castle at 165 feet. And while they are in the North Atlantic, they are accessible using a wetsuit in warmer months.
While in Newfoundland there exists legislation that offers protection to shipwrecks, it is hard to enforce. For 11 years, hundreds have made thousands of dives to the wrecks, and they are still as fantastic as the day we started bringing divers to them!
