Kitanomaru Park、Chiyoda Ward, Tokyo 「北の丸公園」
The site of this park used to be part of Edo Castle. Now it is a public park neighboring the Imperial Palace. This park is noted for cherry blossom viewing. But the pleasure of visiting this park is not limited to it. It has some impressive facilities, such as Nippon Budokan, The National Museum of Modern Art, Tokyo. It can be said that this is a kind of oasis in the middle of busy city for visitors and business persons thanks to its abundant greenery.
Four exciting museums surrounded by beautiful autumn leaves at Kitanomaru Park!
In Japan, fall is called art fall. This is due to the moderate climate (compared to the hot summer). Countless art festivals and painting exhibitions are concentrated in autumn - the perfect season to visit a museum.
There are four museums with completely different line-ups in the Kitanomaru Park with its splendid autumn leaves.
When visiting Tokyo from late November to early December, don't miss this area!

The National Museum of Modern Art (MOMAT) was the first national art museum in Japan. The museum owns a collection of contemporary artworks from the Meiji Era (1868 - 1912) to the present. Japan was a closed country until the beginning of the Meiji era, but after Japan opened to the West, many young Japanese artists went abroad to study art in Europe. The Japanese painting style mixed with the influences of foreign art is very unique and interesting!
◆ ◆ Science Museum
The Science Museum is one big playground. The building has 5 fully packed floors where you can dive into science and learn something new. The exhibition is designed for all ages - from children to adults. It's a great place to deepen your understanding of science while playing or watching some live experiments in the lab.

A walk in Kitanomaru Park in Tokyo
A leisurely walk in a park near the Tokyo Imperial Palace in Chiyoda.
????????????Walking around Nippon Budokan (日本武道館), Tokyo【4K】Chiyoda City, Japan
????????????Walking around Nippon Budokan (日本武道館) Budokan (武道館), Tokyo (東京), Chiyoda City (千代田区), Japan (日本). Nippon Budokan is an indoor arena which was originally built for the Judo (柔道) competition in the 1964 Summer Olympics (1964年東京オリンピック). Gratefully 2020 Summer Olympics (2020 Tokyo Olympics) (2020年東京オリンピック) will be held in this venue for Judo and Karate (空手道) matches. And also 2020 Summer Paralympics (東京2020パラリンピック競技大会) will be held for Judo matches. According to the Tokyo Olympic official, the maximum capacity will be 11,000. I will have been hearing all excitements of 11,000 people from these matches in this legendary venue. I started to walk from the platform of the Tokyo Metro Tozai Line (東京メトロ東西線) Kudanshita Station (九段下駅). After I got out of the subway just followed the pass for Nippon Budokan. It just needs to pass through Kitanomaru Park (北の丸公園) to get the entrance of Nippon Budokan. Nippon Budokan is still in some construction for the 2020 Summer Olympics. After I checked the entrance of Nippon Budokan, I came back to the entrance of Kitanomaru Park and was done. If you watch this video, you will not miss the way of Nippon Budokan when you visit there to see exciting Olympic matches for the 2020 Summer Olympics (2020 Tokyo Olympics). A quick video on Kitanomaru Park June 2015
During a shoot for a story on cooling technologies, I had a chance to walk through Kitanomaru Park in the Chiyoda Ward of Tokyo, which also happens to be where the Imperial Palace is located. Kitanomaru Park is the northernmost front of the Edo Castle. Here's a brief video on the oldest standing part of this structure!

JAPANTRIP 「Hibiya Park」Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo【日比谷公園】
The parkland used to be the palace area of the feudal load, Matsudaira Bizennokami,up until the end of the Edo period. Then it served as a military drilling ground during the early part of the Meiji period. Later this park was designed and constructed as the first westernized urban-style park in Japan, and opened to the public in 1903.
Two outdoor music halls and the Hibiya public hall show enthusiasm of the park designer as a forerunner of culture. Now we can enjoy beautiful flowers all the year around in the center of Marunouchi, one of the hottest business town in Japan.

JAPANTRIP「Kasumigaseki」Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo【東京千代田区霞が関】
Kasumigaseki (霞が関, 霞ヶ関 or 霞ケ関, literally Barrier/gate of Fog) is a district in Chiyoda Ward in Tokyo, Japan. It is the location of most of Japan's cabinet ministry offices. The name is often used figuratively to refer to the Japanese bureaucracy, as opposed to Nagatachō, which refers to the elected government or the legislative branch.

Walking around Chiyoda Ward Park Tokyo
This park is so nice. Super clean. I love the how green it was and how its located right in the center of a big city same as central park in new york.
Tokyo now and then - Going on a time trip!
Tokyo is a megacity where high-rise buildings rise up in the blink of an eye, new restaurants and cafés are opening every day...everything keeps changing at a tremendous speed.
On the other hand, old historical buildings are also taken care of and well preserved.
Why don't you go on a stroll through the city while touching the past, present, and future of Tokyo!
Tokyo station was built in 1914 at the former site of a samurai mansion.
When walking toward the Yurakucho station next to Tokyo station, you will see the beautiful red brick viaduct. In this area, the railway tracks are elevated by brick arches. This viaduct has been supporting Japan's railway for over 100 years. If you are a railway fan, I recommend you to visit the free observation deck of the shopping mall KITTE nearby Tokyo station. From the observation deck, you can see the Shinkansen bullet train and local trains constantly departing and arriving.
The Imperial Palace is where the Japanese emperor lives. Therefore, you can't go inside, but you can visit the gardens, the gates and the stone walls surrounding the Imperial Palace for free.
If you compare different stonewalls, you will notice that the stone patterns vary from place to place. That is because the technology evolved with the times. Since Edo Castle that was originally built in 1457, different techniques were used each time the castle was rebuilt or expanded.
Kitanomaru Park is a vast park where you can enjoy seasonal plants and flowers and relax in nature. Especially, the autumn leaves from the end of November to the beginning of December every year are very beautiful. In the park, there is also the Museum of Modern Art and Science - there is enough to see to spend all day just in the park. In addition, Chidorigafuchi near to the park is known as one of the most beautiful cherry blossom viewing spots in Tokyo. There is also a boat rental where you and your friends can rent rowing boats throughout the year.
The most evolving city in Tokyo is Akihabara.
Until a couple of years ago, Akihabara was known as being an electric town, attracting fans of radio and computers. However, recently the quarter has become a sanctuary for anime, manga and video games. Countless shops dedicated to spreading the moe culture as well as game centers, maid cafes etc. await you there.
If you visit Akihabara, you should stop by at Kanda Myojin shrine, that is close by.
Kanda Myojin is very open to anime, manga and other pop cultures. Therefore, manga and game fans write their wishes and support messages for their favorite groups or voice actors on small wooden boards (ema) and hang them on a special frame at the shrine.
Tokyo is a city where old and new blend into another without any contradiction.
Exploring the city on foot is always a great idea, so why don't you enjoy a time trip watching the past, present, and future of this city!
