WEST OF THE SEA OF GALILEE HAIFA AND AKKO!!! Israel
Welcome to What's Next with John & Nina’s YouTube Channel. Join us as we continue to share our blessed life experiences through traveling and work-stays all over the world. Look What God is Doing All Across the Land.
In this video we take you the western coast of Israel. Part of being a volunteer at hostels in Israel is being able to visit other places and staying at other hostels for free. This time we are traveling through Haifa and Akko. Hafia is a quaint city with lots of beautiful scenery. It is on the Mediterranean Sea. It has fun ways to travel by cable car or cog railway to get to the top of the city. The views are breath-taking from the top of Mount Carmel. Hafia is where Elijah fought the Baal prophets.
Akko is an old city. Walking around such an amazing old city is so exciting. You will sea ports, shops, churches, art, and even animals in the old city. Come join us as we take you on our journey through Haifa and Akko.
Watch out for Rubber Duckie, he appears in interesting places in the video.

In almost two and months we have been to Jerusalem, Jericho, Bethlehem, Hebron, Tel Aviv, Ein Gedi, Ein Bokek (the Dead Sea), Tiberias, Capernaum, and other surrounding areas off of the Sea of Galilee.
In our next vlog, we will take to you to the mountains of around the Sea of Galilee. It is hard to believe our two months is coming to an end. We have only two more vlogs to share with you of our incredible journey through Israel.

Current Challenges in Refugee Policy Panel 2

November 6, 2019 | From hardening policies on the border to drastic cuts in refugee resettlement numbers, U.S. policies toward refugees have undergone a sea change in the past year. This conference examined four key aspects of this changing reality: policies toward refugee and migrant children, the role of religion and religious institutions in forced migration, procedural justice for migrants in U.S. courts, and the particular challenges and future outlook of refugee resettlement agencies.
This conference reflects the work of the Global Refugee and Migration Project, a collaborative 18-month initiative of Georgetown’s Institute for the Study of International Migration and its Berkley Center for Religion, Peace, and World Affairs. Through this initiative, Georgetown faculty and students have carried out research, organized public meetings and research seminars, and disseminated policy recommendations and scholarship to a broad audience. This conference offered an opportunity to reflect on the work accomplished over the course of the initiative, as well as the current state and future directions of global refugee policy.
This event was co-sponsored by Georgetown University's Institute for the Study of International Migration and its Berkley Center for Religion, Peace, and World Affairs. It was part of the Global Refugee and Migration Project, which is generously supported by the Georgetown University Board of Regents.
