Cooks & Kids - in aid of Magic Breakfast
In October 2011 the National Fostering Agency (NFA) launch Cooks & Kids, a recipe book with a difference. Children were asked to dream up their favourite food, and take over the kitchen, whilst celebrity chefs were to make this come true.
The book is full of fantastic recipes that are easy for children to join in with, beautifully photographed and illustrated.
All the celebrity chefs gave their time for free, and all royalties are generously being donated to Magic Breakfast. The charity was chosen after consultation within the NFA community - we were delighted and all money raised will help us provide food to UK primary school children who arrive too hungry or malnourished to learn.

Jennifer Okpapi: Akhaya Cookery School
Launched by the Prime Minister on 23 January, the 'Business In You' is a partnership between private enterprise and Government to highlight support for start-ups and growing businesses and encourage entrepreneurial spirit in 2012.
Through real-life case studies this campaign shines a light on companies that managed to get off the ground or grow in spite of the challenging economic times. They come from a wide range of backgrounds, but each has a real, inspiring story of how they turned their passion into their livelihood.
Jennifer Okpapi managed to gain funding for her business and turned her passion for food into the Akhaya Cookery School, the UK's first cookery school dedicated to African cuisine and now offers a range of day classes, courses as well as the school's own range of food products.
