Lemoine Point, Conservation Area, Kigston, Ontario
A short, relaxing nature walk through this conservation area.
Lemoine Point Conservation Area
Earlier in the week I went with a bunch of friends to Lemonie Point in Kingston, Ontario. It's a very popular area for walkers/runners/cyclists and also for families. It has picnic areas, a few large fields, several miles of walking trails and you can go swimming there (though it doesn't look like a great place to swim). It's the first time I've been there since I came to Kingston 4 years ago! Yikes! .. o_O .. It was a great spot. I would definitely go again .. =D .. hope you enjoy the sights and sounds! ~ hugs, katie

eBike Ride Through Lemoine Point Conservation Area
An afternoon and evening ride through the Lemoine Point conservation area in Kingston, Ontario. The second half features several deer that reside in the area; however, these deer were more skittish than usual, therefore filmed at a distance and harder to see in the video than I would like.
I rode this trail on my Pedego City Commuter open-framed eBike at pedal assist level 1 (and level 2 for going up hills). The video is in real time and has not been sped up, which is why the video is quite long. Note that scooter-style eBikes are banned from the conservation area due to the selfish actions of a few individuals.

Early Spring at Lemoine Point (Kingston, ON - 2015)
A variety of birds and mammals could once again be spotted at Lemoine Point Conservation Area in Kingston, Ontario. It was a warm, early May afternoon when this video was shot. A cool breeze was blowing off of Collins Bay. There was no shortage of chipmunks and squirrels in the forest. While many tree branches were budding, there were still some that were bare, making it easy to spot red-winged blackbirds. Flocks of seagulls and geese could be found, as well as the odd mallard.

Lemoine Point Time Lapses
There are several time lapse sequences, all taken at Lemoine Point Conservation Area in Kingston, Ontario. This little piece of wilderness in the city provides many excellent views of Collins Bay, Lake Ontario and the surrounding area in western Kingston and parts of neighbouring mainland Loyalist Township. Eastern Amherst Island can also be seen along much of the shoreline within the conservation area. Lemoine Point contains one of the largest tracts of accessible wooded Lake Ontario shoreline within the Kingston area. While it is largely a wooded area, as the first sequence shows, there is also a large marsh along the Collins Bay shoreline at the north end of the point.
Winter at Lemoine Point - Including Sunset Scenes (January 2015)
This video was shot on a late afternoon visit to Lemoine Point Conservation Area in Kingston, Ontario in late January, 2015. This is an excellent location for bird watching and sunsets on Collins Bay during the warmer months. However, visiting on a sunny January afternoon will not disappoint. The sunsets are just as enjoyable in the winter as the rest of the year. I encountered several chickadees as well, during a walk in the woods.

Remediation & Recycling | Lakeview Village
Lakeview Village will breath new life into Mississauga’s waterfront. A large-scale recycling effort is underway with the last vestiges of the old Lakeview coal-fired power plant – the large concrete generator footings – being broken up and donated to the Region of Peel and local conservation authorities. The rubble is being reused to help construct the 64-acre Jim Tovey Lakeview Conservation Area next door. #BuildingCommunities #BuildingRelationships
