Bring your family for a fun-filled day of affordable world-class family entertainment at the 8th Annual Chevron Family Theatre Festival to be held Saturday, July 19 from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. at the Lesher Center for the Arts in Walnut Creek.
Ticketed performances include: The World Famous Popovich Comedy Pet Theater, a family-oriented blend of the unique comedy and juggling skills of Gregory Popovich, and the extraordinary talents of his performing pets. Each of the show's animals were once strays, rescued from animal shelters. Now, they love to show off onstage -- by performing a variety of stunts and skits!
Also performing are: Leslie Carrara-Rudolph a Sesame Street puppeteer, Fantasy Forum Actors Ensemble performing Cinderella, Pushcart Players performing Little Red Riding Hood and Other Stories, and Alex Ramon Magic! Tickets are just $5 for each performance.

Veterans Day 2019 in Walnut Creek
Walnut Creek honored all who served our great country with a ceremony from the Lesher Center for the Arts. Keynote speaker was Lt. Commander Katie Eames of the U.S. Navy Reserve. She is also a Walnut Creek Police Officer.
Live! From the Library: California Symphony - May 2, 2018
A first look into the making of like a broken clock, California Symphony’s commissioned work by rising Young American Composer-in-Residence Katherine Balch. California Symphony Music Director Donato Cabrera will join Balch to discuss the composition and their collaborative process to bring it to performance. The California Symphony will present the world premiere of like a broken clock on Sunday, May 6 at the Lesher Center for the Arts. in Walnut Creek.
Cabrera is Music Director for California Symphony and Las Vegas Philharmonic, and former resident conductor of San Francisco Symphony. Balch is a multiple award winner, a recipient of the esteemed Charles Ives Scholarship from the American Academy of Arts and Letters, and is the first female resident composer of the California Symphony.
Candidates Forum: C.C.C. District Attorney - April 24, 2018
Walnut Creek TV recorded a candidates forum for those running for Contra Costa County District Attorney, Tuesday, April 24, at Lesher Center for the Arts in Walnut Creek, 5:30-7:00 pm. Sponsors were the Contra Costa County Bar Association and League of Women Voters of Diablo Valley. The public will had a chance to submit questions for all candidates.

Walnut Creek honors it veterans in a ceremony from the Lesher Center for the Arts. Keynote speaker is Matt Shortal, a former Blue Angel. The Walnut Creek Concert Band performs with Conductor Harvey Benstein.
Sheriff David O. Livingston at the 174th Basic Academy Class Graduation
Contra Costa County Sheriff David O. Livingston recently delivered the welcome address at the graduation ceremony for the 174th basic academy class of the Law Enforcement Training Center. The graduation was held at the Lesher Center for the Arts in Walnut Creek.
58 recruits, representing 13 Bay Area law enforcement agencies, graduated after completing the 26 week-long POST basic academy. The recruits must master the curricla of 42 learning domains. They are tested morally, mentally and physically.
Their academy accomplishments culminate in this moment, but their spirit of service and sacrifice will llive in our communities for years to come, said Sheriff David Livingston.

Robb has been a long-time supporter of the Animal Rescue Foundation (he got his dog Shady from there), proceeds from Stars to the Rescue allow ARF to save dogs and cats who have run out of time at public shelters and bring people and animals together to enrich each other's lives.
Robb will perform a 30 minute set of favorites from his annual birthday bash. Early confirmed performers include Grammy-Award winners Bruce Hornsby and Christian McBride along with Grammy-nominated Machine Head's Robb Flynn. Check back soon for additional information and lineup announcements!
