Living in Mississauga | Investing in Mississauga
Just like its neighbour Toronto, Mississauga is a diverse city with plenty of employment options, shopping and dining and some cool entertainment. Mississauga has one of the largest malls in Ontario in Square One Shopping Centre.
Iconic buildings such as Absolute Towers and other pre construction condo towers in downtown Mississauga gives the city its unique skyline.
Living in Mississauga has its benefits, some of it is due to its close proximity to Toronto but the city has developed its own identity.
This video gives a overview of everything that Mississauga has to offer and why living and investing in Mississauga makes sense.

Contested Development Trailer: A Toronto Star investigation 2017
CONTESTED DEVELOPMENT: Many question whether the Ontario Municipal Board should be allowed to continue wielding its unelected power over a city crunched for resources. For more on the Toronto Star's ongoing series on development in Toronto please visit:
Traditional baronial style self-build, Highlands
Ian Scott Watson has designed a remarkable one-off home for private clients in the Scottish Highlands. The home, which sits on the site of a country house demolished in the 1970s, uses the surviving tower as inspiration for its Baronial style. The new home makes the most of the views and is built out of timber frame with a blockwork outer shell, onto which harling has quite literally been thrown to give a solid, rough finish. The interiors draw on a range of antique fittings to give visitors the impression that this new home has been on the site for centuries. The house cost £950,000 (£1,727/m2) to build over 18 months.
Preparations underway in GTA for winter storm
With mother nature planning to serve up a late winter cocktail of freezing rain and ice pellets, will the city have enough resources at their disposal to deal with the conditions?

Museum Dance Off 5 - The Museums of Mississauga
The Museums of Mississauga's entry into the Museum Dance Off 5 contest. Thank you to everyone who voted for us in the first round. Sadly we are not moving on but hopefully we will be in the running for some of the additional trophies.
This is the 3rd time the Museums of Mississauga have entered the Museum Dance Off contest. Our previous years entries can be found at the end of the video. Every year we strive to create a fun and entertaining video that shows off the creativity the staff of the Museums of Mississauga has. This years theme is based on anniversaries. Canada just had its 150th anniversary as a country and the Bradley Museum had its 50th anniversary of being a museum as well. Because of this we as the staff picked and voted for some of the best Canadian songs that represented the last 50 years. There was lots of debate on what songs to choose but in the end we settled on the songs below.
Songs:
Born to Be Wild - Steppenwolf
Heart of Gold - Neil Young
Fly By Night - Rush
Sunglasses at Night - Corey Heart
Don't Forget Me - Glass Tiger
Life is a Highway - Tom Cochrane
One Week - Barenaked Ladies
Sk8ter Boi - Avril Lavigne
1234 - Feist
Call Me Maybe - Carly Rae Jepsen
Love Stuck - Mother Mother
Ahead By A Century - Tragically Hip
Mississauga - Tommy Hunter

TRUCKS... TRUCKS...TRUCKS
Full of trucks 24/7 on Highway 401, the very big 18-wheelers heading from Quebec & Atlantic Canada all the way west to Ambassador Bridge and Detroit and then farther west to Mid-West USA and even Pacific Coast.
For out-of-province drivers plus our American friends traveling thru Ontario, in the video you see a BLACK & WHITE Smokey Bear, hopefully you already know who they are and what they are doing out there...
WITHOUT TRUCKS, ANY COUNTRY STOPS.
And for those that strongly believe in MAN-MADE Global Warming, those that vigorously and passionately oppose CDN Keystone XL Pipeline or any similar oil pipelines, never ever forget that everything you eat, drink, what you buy for yourself, family, kids, for your house, garden, furniture, electronics, etc., ANYTHING, is transported and delivered directly to your local supermarket or store by TRUCKS (that run on DIESEL) and anytime fuel prices go up they, truckers, charge the store a FUEL SURCHARGE, who pays that extra fuel surcharge: ordinary consumers included poor ones who don't even own a car cause they cannot afford one. So anytime you oppose any Keystone-like project or new oil drilling in Gulf of Mexico or ALASKA/ANWAR, you in fact hate poor ppl who now have to pay even more in order to afford a minimum standard of life.
Very Rich Hollywood + Radical Left Wingers + Obama vs regular folks who cannot defend themselves against high oil/fuel prices, so who's the winner and who's the loser...

Giant Panda Cub Fall Compilation- Toronto Zoo
This will make you fall for pandas all over again ????
In 2003, scientists from Zoo Atlanta, Chengdu, and the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding published a study that described trends in the behavior of giant panda cubs. Among other findings, this study confirmed that falling was a normal and expected part of the play of the giant panda cubs being reared by their mother. The researchers suggested that the natural play experiences of growing cubs with their mothers and siblings may significantly contribute to the panda cubs’ development into reproductively successful adults.
In celebration of our giant panda cubs second birthday on October 13, we at the Toronto Zoo wanted to show you just how promising the development of Canada’s first giant panda cubs has been over the last 24 months. Don’t forget to see them before they leave for Calgary Zoo in March 2018 ???? #TOPandaCubs
