Good samaritans fight BC wildfire on the side of the Trans-Canada Highway!
On our way home from a long road trip, our group and a hand full of other drivers stopped as a small fire erupted on the side of the trans canada highway. Most likely from a cigarette butt. It was 34 degrees Celsius and the fire was spreading quickly. luckily, the fire was controlled in about 20 minutes with the help of water jugs, fire extinguishers and shovels! I started filming after we had used pretty much all our water. As we left the scene, the fire department arrived to put down a layer of water.
Thanks to the people in this video, another potentially large and devastating fire was stopped quickly.
