Milton Keynes, locally abbreviated to MK, is a large town in Buckinghamshire, England. Milton Keynes is the administrative centre of the Borough of Milton Keynes and was formally designated as a new town on 23 January 1967, with the design brief to become a city in scale. Milton Keynes is located about 45 miles (72 km) north-west of London.
At designation, Milton Keynes 89 km2 (34 sq mi) area incorporated the existing towns of Bletchley, Wolverton, and Stony Stratford, along with another fifteen villages and farmland in between. Milton Keynes took its name from the existing village of Milton Keynes, a few miles east of the planned centre.
The Grand Union Canal between London and Birmingham provides a major axis in the design of Milton Keynes. Milton Keynes has five railway stations. Milton Keynes Central is served by inter-city services. Wolverton, Milton Keynes Central and Bletchley stations are on the West Coast Main Line. Fenny Stratford and Bow Brickhill are on the Marston Vale Line. Woburn Sands railway station, also on the Marston Vale line, is in the small town of Woburn Sands just inside the urban area. he main bus operator is Arriva Milton Keynes, providing a number of routes which mainly pass through or serve Central Milton Keynes.
Milton Keynes has professional teams in football (Milton Keynes Dons F.C. at Stadium:mk), in ice hockey (Milton Keynes Lightning), and in Formula One (Red Bull Racing). Milton Keynes is also home to the Xscape indoor ski slope, the Airkix indoor sky diving facility, the Formula Fast Indoor Karting centre, and the National Badminton Centre.

Every type of passenger Virgin train at Milton Keynes central in the space of about 15mins on the afternoon of sunday 6th Feb 2011.
Including, Pendolino's, Voyager & Pretendolino (With Great Horn!!)
(Also 1 london Midland 350, which it was pointless cutting)
The pretendolino was the 13:50 from Birmingham New St. Which I believe was in the control of David from the Youtube channel Englischlokfuehrer, so thanks for the great tone! Brings back good old memories hearing those horns again! Hope you like it! The loco was 90041 freightliner livery.

12 Car London Northwestern Railway Class 319s at Milton Keynes Central - 18/07/19
Video: A compilation of some London Northwestern Railway Class 319s in 12 carriage formations at Milton Keynes Central station. This has become a regular sight now since the May timetable change and is something that was very, very rare to see prior to LNWR operations. In the Thameslink days they were only in service in 4 or 8 car formations, and were rarely moved in 12 car form on ECS moves (occasionally with Class 317s) at limited speeds.
Also included was the sister unit 12 car Royal Mail Class 325 working 155L from Warrington Royal Mail (Dbs) to Willesden PRDC.

A cold January afternoon at Milton Keynes Central Station. MKC is always a good place to do some filming on the WCML, plenty of Freight around and a good mixture of stopping and non-stop Virgin services. There were a few issues this day with a track circuit failure just South of the station on the Up Fast line. Meaning that all London bound non-stop services were rerouted onto the Up Slow line in an attempt at minimising delays in the affected area on the up fast. However all stopping London bound services were kept on the Up Fast line (Platform 4) because stopping at a red signal will have minimal effect on these services anyway. So you'd got Pendolino's coming and going in all directions basically. Platform 6, 4 & 1. A few nice surprises thrown into the mix as well, the NMT HST seen crawling along the Up Fast line just about to enter the problematic area and a pair of new Great Western class 387's. Which are doing 110mph test runs up & down the WCML between Wembley & Crewe. However their progress was hampered by the track circuit failure on the Up Fast.

Not filmed at MKC for quite a while now so thought I'd stop by for an hour or so and get some footage. This was all filmed between 17:30 & 18:25! So just under an hour during the busy evening peak and there's quite a lot of variety to look out for!
INCLUDES: All the WCML regulars, Virgin Pendolino's and Voyagers (a few pendo's in special liveries) and London Midland 350's. Check out the fast LM 350's on an empty stock run going non stop through MK to Euston! As well as London Midland 319's, 2x Freightliner class 70's and a GBRF 66! Not bad going for under an hour.
Milton Keynes is great station for a mixture of everything. Fast passing services, lots that stop too and plenty of Freight thrown into the mix as well.

Something I've been wanting to do a while, a small compilation of the UK's fastest trains doing what they do best, hit speeds in excess of 100mph! From the tilting Pendolino's of Virgin's West Coast Mainline, to the growling East Coast HST's and continent crossing Class 373 Eurostars, this is a collection of my finest shots of these magnificent pieces of kit going at full pelt through the English countryside from 2013 to 2015.
Apologies for the differing sound and visual quality in some of the shots, in that time I changed cameras.
Locations filmed at include Pewsey, Milton Keynes, Wolverton, Alexandra Palace, Ebbsfleet International, Ashford International, Northwick Park and Princes Risborough.

London Midland First Class | Milton Keynes Central - Cheddington.
We have a ride on one of a handful of London Midland operated Class 321 EMUs down the WCML from Milton Keynes Central to the delightful station of Cheddington.
First Class on board London Midland is very poor, all trains lack catering facilities and capacity is tight, however if traveling on one of London Midland's Class 321 EMUs you'll find more comfortable seats with more room compared to the popular Class 350 EMUs.

Various trains at Milton Keynes Central on Friday 18th January 2013! After the snow started falling at 9am, it was still falling at 9pm this night! Causing many delays and cancellations on the railways. So I went down to my local station to see what was going on!
INCLUDES: DB 92, Freightliner 86's & 66, DRS 66, Virgin Pendolino's & Voyager's, London Midland 350's & Southern 377! All battling the sub-zero temperatures and blizzard conditions!
Wasn't entirely sure where to go, so as I get free train travel I jumped on the 13:02 double voyager to Euston and took some footage on there which is included in the 2nd half of this video!
The entire country was swept with this snow fall, however in Milton Keynes, 10cm were forecast. Well, that much had fallen by lunch time & we are forecast snow until Monday 21st!
The voyager I since found out, suffered an onboard fire, it didn't fail!

A variety of services heading towards Birmingham/North and London Euston in the United Kingdom. Trains include: Virgin Trains 221 Super Voyagers & 390 Pendolinos, Southern Railways Class 377 Electrostars, London Midland 350 Desiros and some freight services. During the day, a lot of Virgin trains services were either late or very early due to a collision in-between Wolverhampton and Stafford. Filmed on 23th of January 2015, Between 15:00 and 16:30.

British Orienteering Sprint Championships 2017 Final - Campbell Park (Milton Keynes)
British Sprint Champs final - M35 B Final - 2.8 km 23 cp. An unusual sprint orienteering course in a park not on the streets of the city. The course was interesting and physically challenging with the hill before the last checkpoint.
virgin pendolino London-Milton Keynes in 3mins
On-board virgin pendolino 390015 Virgin Crusader, from just outside Euston to Milton keynes. I only videoed all the good and vital parts of the journey, but the train did seem to keep up full 125mph most of the way. This was the 13:50 from Euston-Manchester Piccadilly.
