Puerto Vallarta, Mexico - Los Arcos National Marine Park HD (2014)
Puerto Vallarta is a Mexican beach resort city situated on the Pacific Ocean's Bahía de Banderas. The 2010 census reported Puerto Vallarta's population as 255,725 making it the second largest city in the state of Jalisco. The City of Puerto Vallarta is the government seat of the Municipality of Puerto Vallarta which comprises the city as well as population centers outside of the city extending from Boca de Tomatlán to the Nayarit border (the Ameca River).
The city is located at 20°40′N 105°16′W. The municipality has an area of 502.19 square miles (1,300.7 km2). To the north it borders the southwest part of the state of Nayarit. To the east it borders the municipality of Mascota and San Sebastián del Oeste, and to the south it borders the municipalities of Talpa de Allende and Cabo Corriente.
Puerto Vallarta is named after Ignacio Vallarta, a former governor of Jalisco. In Spanish, Puerto Vallarta is frequently shortened to Vallarta, while English speakers call the city P.V. for short. In internet shorthand the city is often referred to as PVR, after the International Air Transport Association airport code for its Gustavo Diaz Ordaz International Airport.

Puerto Vallarta Mexico. October 5, 2018 Vallarta Advebtures Yacht & Snorkel Tour. Fire on Board in Engine. We never were able to complete the Tour. The Fire happened about 45 min into the Yacht ride to the location of the Snorkel Tour. The Staff of Vallarta Adventures were very professional and got everyone off in a safe manner. We never did Snorkel and our entire tour was spent on a beach. They did provide food and beverages, which were part of the package to begin with.

To learn more about Los Arcos, visit:
Los Arcos
These small beautiful granite islands protruding from the sea surface, visible even from downtown PV, which are protected as a National Marine Park since 1984.
If you travel south in the Banderas Bay (Bahía de Banderas), you’ll find a protected area, that through the years has become a regular attraction, not only for the different day cruise ships in Vallarta, but also for those that enjoy scuba diving and snorkeling. We are, of course, talking about the now famous Puerto Vallarta islands of “Los Arcos” (The Arches) or Los Arcos de Mismaloya (The Arches of Mismaloya).
