Paard Verzameld meets old master George Stubbs at the MK Gallery in Milton Keynes, England.
Paard Verzameld meeting George Stubbs, courtesy of the wonderful Mauritshuis museum! The exhibition, held at the MK Gallery, gave us the chance to see Whistlejacket in the flesh!
A wonderful experience which we got to share with a great group of people. Thank you Boris and Lea and the Mauritshuis museum for flying us out there. Can't wait to see the exhibition in the Hague in 2020. More on this coming soon.
George Stubbs: ‘all done from Nature’ presents the first significant overview of this renowned eighteenth century artist-scientist in Britain for more than 30 years. The exhibition brings together 80 paintings, drawings and publications from the National Gallery’s life-size portrait of the stallion Whistlejacket to pieces never previously seen in public.

Arts Award Discover at MK Gallery, Milton Keynes with family groups over three months.
Family groups choose which activities to attend from a selection of Saturday Studio sessions delivered by the Gallery's associate artists over a three month period. The session we filmed was with associate artist Nicole Morris in which the family groups discuss and record public sculpture in Milton Keynes before creating their own sculptures in response.
Thanks to MK Gallery, artist Nicole Morris and all the families who attended her session.

Milton Keynes Marathon 2017 Fly-Through
Milton Keynes Marathon returns on 1st May 2017 starting at Stadium MK. The marathon is ideal for first timers wanting to enjoy the scenery on a mostly flat course, or serious runners looking for a fast time on an official AIMS/IAAF Grade A certified marathon distance. The new route which debuted last year was designed to pass through the most picturesque parts of the new city and takes in the countryside and parks of the Ousel Valley, Bradwell Abbey, Woolstone and Milton Keynes Village as well as landmarks such as the Peace Pagoda at Willen Lake and of course, the concrete cows.
Runners will have the chance to run alongside local celebrities with Olympian Gail Emms and BBC radio presenter Jo Whiley among the runners who have already registered to take part.
After being cheered across the finish line in Stadium MK, runners will be celebrating with a set of exciting new medal designs incorporating the MK50 logo and a finishers’ T Shirts which will also be MK50 branded so it’s a great opportunity to do something memorable to celebrate the city’s birthday and take on a personal challenge.
