International Firefighters' Day 2018
On 4 and 5 May 2018, firefighters from various Western and Southern Cape-based fire departments gathered in George to celebrate International Firefighters’ Day (IIFD). Oakhurst Insurance, along with the local community showed their appreciation for the firefighters and honoured the fallen heroes. The two-day event included a parade through the town of George, team challenges, an extrication demo, potjiekos competition and much more.
