#Manchester is a city of firsts. #Vacation here to what was the epicenter of the Industrial Revolution, the place where mankind first split the atom, and the birthplace of the modern computer.
In Castlefield, #visit the remains of a Roman fort, Bridgewater Canal, and some of the mills which once generated incredible wealth for the city.
The Town Hall was built to rival the great buildings of London. Many of the treasures sourced by merchants during the Industrial Revolution now reside in the Manchester Art Gallery and the Manchester Museum.
The People’s History Museum celebrates those who challenged Britain’s rigid political and class systems. At the world’s oldest surviving railway station, you’ll find The Museum of Science and Industry, while the Imperial War Museum North reminds us of the human cost of warfare.
Learn about the city’s footballing history at the National Football Museum, or see a match at Old Trafford.
For now, we hope you enjoy watching this #travel #guide as much as we enjoyed making it.

London and Manchester in 4 days
Four days might seem short, but in the UK, where it's easy to get around by train, that's plenty of time to see and enjoy more than one city. In this video we follow Jacob and Esther Fu, the dynamic duo otherwise known as Local Adventurer, as they first experience memorable moments in London before taking in the sights of Manchester, only a 2-hour train ride away.
In London, they get the chance to experience world-famous icons like the Coca-Cola London Eye, alongside the capital’s diverse and little-known neighborhoods on a tour with smallcarBIGCITY (guided tours in Mini Coopers), which brings visitors to the London that Londoners like to see.
In Manchester, they get to immerse themselves in a largely undiscovered, young, vibrant, creative city with stops at the famed Piccadilly Records and The Museum of Science and Industry, among many others, including a chance to sample the delights of the Manchester food scene and a personalized tour of the city with the Manchester Taxi Tour. Don’t underestimate what you can do with limited time!

Family Activities in Manchester, England
Though mainly known for its famous football clubs, Manchester, the world’s first industrialized city is home to a number of iconic buildings, great museums, and amazing restaurants. Peter Hook's guided tour of Manchester
The New York Times named Manchester at a 'must see' destination and former New Order bassist Peter Hook has got a guided tour.
Bath, UK complete walking tour
The town center of Bath has a human scale with lowrise buildings and quiet streets lined with shops and galleries ideal for strolling, all contained in a relatively small area only about 1000 meters in one direction and 500 meters in the other. A nice place to start walking is the small Abbey Green, a peaceful courtyard with a large tree in the middle and historic old buildings all around. This courtyard is quite central. It's just one block over from the Bath Abbey and yet is easily missed because it's really not very conspicuous.
