Casselton Oil Can Pile
About 20 miles West of Fargo (I know, the video says 12 - my bad) is the town of Casselton, ND. Their claim to fame? A 45 foot high pile of empty, used oil cans. I know . . . you're thinking what?!?!
Apparently, locals used to toss the empty cans into a wire enclosure starting sometime around The Great Depression. Over time, the pile grew and the enclosure was simply enlarged to accommodate the cans. The entire structure was recently moved to its current location at the base of the water tower in town. (Hence, the plastic wrap.)
I was pretty sure nobody would take me seriously on this, so . . . see for yourself!

This video is about the last 1/2 of the fireworks display in Buffalo, North Dakota from the 2011 4th of July festivities. A wonderful show and a great finale caught on my cell phone. The ground is on the right of the screen and the fireworks will shoot from right to left. Enjoy!
