Irishtown Nature Park - Moncton, NB
The Irishtown Nature Park features lots of walking trails that are all rated easy. We hiked the dragonfly trail (1.4kms), the John Howard footpath(2.3kms), the bouctouche line(2.1kms), the scout trail, (0.8kms) and the old reservoir trail. It is a nice walk in the woods, however don't forget your bug spray! There is a lot of still water along parts of the paths (some areas are worse than others). We saw a lot of insect life, multiple types of damselflies, a goldenrod crab spider, and many others. There were quite a few boardwalks as well!
This is a trail you could bring your children on! Nice and easy.

I'm from Ottawa and despite attending the University of New Brunswick, I haven't truly experienced New Brunswick until I visited its beautiful parks. Day & Ross Transport Truck On Fire Moncton, NB - 2010 Oct 12 - Part 1
BERRY MILLS, NB
A collision between a tractor-trailer and a dump truck on the Trans Canada Highway near Moncton set off a massive fire yesterday evening, but remarkably no one was killed.
The crash happened shortly after 5 p.m. in the west-bound lanes near the Berry Mill's exit. Just a few dozen metres east of the exit ramp that takes westbound travellers to Berry Mills Road.
A tractor trailer carrying a load of new tires struck a dump truck that was doing road maintenance.
The Day & Ross truck that had just left the company's depot on Mapleton Road crashed into a Miller Group dump truck with a street sweeper brush attachment to the front that was doing road maintenance.
The dump truck landed on its side in the ditch with the nose facing east and the tractor trailer burst into flames, sending up a cloud of black smoke that could be seen for miles.
The driver of the dump truck was saved in part by the trailer he was hauling behind his truck, a heavy sledge used to absorb much of the impact in just such a situation. The sledge trailer detached from the dump truck and ended up beneath the 18-wheeler.
The dump truck driver is said to have walked away unharmed.
The trucker reportedly suffered a broken leg and his female passenger was taken to hospital with undetermined injuries.
It took firefighters several hours to extinguish the blaze.
Water tankers were needed to bring water to the scene.
During that three hours, the District 11 Caledonia RCMP had managed to get car drivers turned around and clear them from where they had been trapped between the fire and the last exit they had just passed at Magnetic Hill.
However, tractor-trailers headed west, those that happened along before the Mounties were able to detour traffic onto the Homestead Road, were unable to get turned around. A reporter counted more than 80 of them when they were finally able to move again.
I saw one truck attempting to back up along the highway to the exit.
A portion of the highway remained closed for about five hours following the crash.
The cause of the accident remains under investigation.
