Kicked out of matsqui trail regional park LOL
Apparently you are not allowed to play with any type of Remote Control there Even though there are no sighs saying ''no rc'' anywhere LOL. That's okay there's too many people there to fly comfortably anyway.... I looked up the GVRD rules and there is a bylaw against fun lol Part 5 (5.4) (a) No person shall use or operate a remote controlled plane, car, boat or other similar device except in an area designated by posted notice as allowing that activity. It's sad that there has to be so many rules and regulations.

Campground Flooding in BC, Canada
The RV Park we've been staying in is directly on the Harrison River in the Fraser Valley of southwestern British Columbia, Canada. Over the past couple of weeks, the water in the Harrison & Fraser Rivers has risen to its highest level in 40 years and many area campgrounds are partially or completely submerged. There have been floods like this before, but not for quite some time.
We drove to several campgrounds today, including Matsqui Trail Regional Park on the Fraser River in the metro Vancouver region between Abbotsford & Mission, and Kilby Park campground at the Kilby Historic site in Harrison Mills. We also paddled our canoe through the parking lot of our own park, also in Harrison Mills. We tried to visit one other nearby park, but all the RVs have been evacuated and the gate is locked.
There are reports of flooding in many parts of the BC Lower Mainland, including here in the Fraser Valley. Chilliwack and other areas are affected by the Fraser River, and we're of course affected by the flooding on the Harrison River.
Luckily for us, our RV park is on a hill and we're at the top of it. Only the very lowest-lying sites have been directly affected, where you can canoe from the Harrison River right up the boat ramp and into the parking lot, which we did. We're hoping for fewer rainy days and abating of flood waters soon. Lower temperatures would help as well, slowing the snowmelt in the surrounding Coast Mountains.

Hunter Road - a hiking trail in Mission, BC

British Columbia, Canada 7 Sisters Trail
The 7 sisters Trail - uphill with way too much weight in my backpack - sorry about the breathing :))
The largest tree is about 9 feet across and probably 2500 years old.
Cultus Lake is a popular spot for boating, fishing etc.
The Seven Sisters Trail is a short hike in the Cultus Lake area to a grove of old-growth Douglas fir trees. There once were seven of the enormous trees, however as they reach their elder years, some have fallen and there are only three that remain standing today. The trees are located within a small loop and their sheer size are impressive.
Begin your hike as the trail heads uphill quickly and into the forested area. The trail passes through a 2nd generation growth forest, lush with greenery and lichen. Cross a small wooden bridge and continue hiking as the trail weaves its way up and around a small hill.
Later you reach some wooden boardwalks and a BC Parks sign with information about the trees. This marks the beginning of the small loop as you are standing next to the first of three Seven Sisters that are still standing. Walk up the wooden steps to your left as it follows next to one of the fallen trees. Continue walking around the short look, looking for the huge Douglas fir trees.
