Old Wellington: The Matterhorn Coffee Lounge (1981)
Foot note: this Film was made on a Saturday morning when it was only halve as busy as during the week! The Matterhorn Coffee Lounge was opened in 1962 by Toni & Mary Tresch. From the first day on it was a big hit Wellingtonians, especially after an unused backyard was converted to Wellingtons only outdoor eating Place. We then took over the Business in 1972
and owned it until 1987, before we sold it and moved to the upmarket Boulevard Café in Lambton Quay. We have long since retired, but thanks to some filming I did in those days, we have something, which helps us to remember those long gone days of yesteryear....

Old Wellington The Shifting Of The Shamrock Hotel 1981
This was one of the first Buildings to be relocated in Wellington City! It was cut in half, then transported from Molesworths Street to it's present Location in Tinakori Road, by Contractor T.R Parry Ltd. of Upper Hutt and the former Wgtn. City Councillor Mr.Rex Nicolls and his Team. It took the best part of 2 month to get it there. Please note: I am in the process of re-recording the soundtrack of this film and will upload the edited version in due course!

Prepare yourself as host Jeremy Redmore takes you to Wellington's most unique bar, Mighty Mighty.
With hula hoopin, burlesque ladies, rollerskating ukelele orchestras, indie rock bands, limbo experiments, 12 teams a quizzin', Mighty Markets, some rap wrestling, well bent comedy, messy eating competitions, dance comps, space disco djs, rockabilly bands, folk nights -- where do they stop?
Basically anything with that extra ZING, with real talent or just a bucket load of that plain ol' fashioned fun.
