Oahu, Hawaii Helicopter tour
Version en français plus bas .
O'ahu is the third largest island in the Hawaiian archipelago and the most populous island in the state of Hawaii. It covers an area of 1,545.34 km2, including Ford Island and the islands of Kaneohe Bay and the east coast. It has 336 kilometers of coast1.
The island was formed under the joint action of volcano Wai'anae and Ko'olau, leaving a large valley between the two. The highest peak is Mount Ka'ala which rises to 1,215 meters above sea level.
The island is home to nearly one million people, or about 75% of the population of the state of Hawaii. Partly because of this, O'ahu was nicknamed The Gathering Place.
The capital of the State of Hawaii, Honolulu, is situated on the south coast of the island, as is the port of Pearl Harbor, which was attacked by Japan on December 7, 1941. United States during the Second World War.

Oahu Helicopter Tour
Recorded January 15, 2004. There wasn't a cloud in the sky for my Makani Kai Helicopter Tour of the island of Oahu. The first thing we flew over after leaving the Honolulu International Airport was Pearl Harbor. We continued flying west over pineapple fields and Waimea Falls. After reaching the west coast of Oahu we turned around and flew over the interior of the island to the east coast. After flying over Hanauma Bay we headed back to the airport flying over downtown Honolulu and the National Cemetery of the Pacific.

Oʻahu (pronounced [oˈʔɐhu]) or Oahu /oʊˈɑːhuː/, known as The Gathering Place, is the third largest of the Hawaiian Islands; however, it is the most populous of the islands in the U.S. state of Hawaii while also having the primary and only intercontinental Honolulu International Airport. The state capital, Honolulu, is on Oʻahu's southeast coast. Including small close-in offshore islands such as Ford Island and the islands in Kaneohe Bay and off the eastern (windward) coast, it has a total land area of 596.7 square miles (1,545.4 km2), making it the 20th largest island in the United States. In the greatest dimension, this volcanic island is 44 miles (71 km) long and 30 miles (48 km) across. The length of the shoreline is 227 miles (365 km). The island is the result of two separate shield volcanoes: Waiʻanae and Koʻolau, with a broad valley or saddle (the central Oʻahu Plain) between them. The highest point is Mt. Ka'ala in the Waiʻanae Range, rising to 4,003 feet (1,220 m) above sea level.

Oahu Helicopter Tours
The island is home to about 953,207 people (approximately 75% of the resident population of the state, with approximately 75% of those living on the city side of the island). Oʻahu has for a long time been known as The Gathering Place. However, the term Oʻahu has no confirmed meaning in Hawaiian, other than that of the place itself.[4] Ancient Hawaiian tradition attributes the name's origin in the legend of Hawaiʻiloa, the Polynesian navigator credited with discovery of the Hawaiian Islands. The story relates that he named the island after a son.
Residents of Oʻahu refer to themselves as locals (as done throughout Hawaiʻi), no matter their ancestry.
The city of Honolulu—largest city, state capital, and main deepwater marine port for the State of Hawaiʻi—is located here. As a jurisdictional unit, the entire island of Oʻahu is in the City & County of Honolulu, although as a place name, Honolulu occupies only a portion of the southeast end of the island.
Well-known features found on Oʻahu include Waikīkī, Pearl Harbor, Diamond Head, Hanauma Bay, Kāneʻohe Bay, Kailua Bay, North Shore.
Being roughly diamond-shaped, surrounded by ocean and divided by mountain ranges, directions on Oʻahu are not generally described with the compass directions found throughout the world. Locals instead use ewa (pronounced eh-va) to mean toward the western tip of the island, Diamond Head to be toward the eastern tip, mauka is toward the mountains and makai toward the sea.

Hawaii Volcanoes National Park - Full Tour (2018)
Hawaiʻi Volcanoes National Park, established on August 1, 1916, is an American national park located in the U.S. state of Hawaii on the island of Hawaii. The park encompasses two active volcanoes: Kīlauea, one of the world's most active volcanoes, and Mauna Loa, the world's most massive shield volcano. The park provides scientists with insight into the birth and development of the Hawaiian Islands, and ongoing studies into the processes of volcanism. For visitors, the park offers dramatic volcanic landscapes, as well as glimpses of rare flora and fauna.
In recognition of its outstanding natural values, Hawaiʻi Volcanoes National Park was designated as an International Biosphere Reserve in 1980 and a World Heritage Site in 1987. In 2012, Hawai'i Volcanoes National Park was depicted on the 14th quarter of the America the Beautiful Quarters series.
On May 10, 2018 the park was closed to the public in the Kīlauea volcano summit area, including the visitor center and park headquarters, due to explosions and toxic ash clouds from Halemaʻumaʻu crater, as well as earthquakes and road damage. However, portions of the park, including the visitor center, reopened to the public on September 22, 2018.
Eruptive activity, ground collapses and explosions in the park ceased in early August. As of late September, the lull in eruptive activity at Kīlauea Volcano continues. At the summit, seismicity and deformation are negligible. Sulfur dioxide emission rates at both the summit and the Lower East Rift Zone are drastically reduced; the combined rate is lower than at any time since late 2007. Earthquake and deformation data show no net accumulation, withdrawal, or significant movement of subsurface magma or pressurization as would be expected if the system was building toward a resumption of activity.

Kauai Island, Hawaii, USA 4K (UHD)
Kauai Island known also as the Garden Island. The tiny tropical island. This is one of the three Hawaiian islands that I decided to visit. I spent three days there, drove 315 miles by car and visited, incl. the places described below. My hotel was in the Kapaa area. It is geologically the oldest and northernmost island of the main Hawaiian Islands. Some parts of Kauai are only accessible by sea or air. Island is characterized by its wealth of lush, rich lands, including vast tropical rainforests, jaw-dropping mountains and stunning beaches. Part of Kauai’s unique charm is the fact that the island has remained relatively undeveloped.

Trip to Hawaii
About Hawaii -
There are six major islands to visit in Hawaii: Kauai, Oahu, Molokai, Lanai, Maui, and Hawaii Island. You'll find each island has its own distinct personality and offers its own adventures, activities and sights. Mark Twain called Hawaii, That peaceful land, that beautiful land... the climate, one long delicious summer day, and the good that die experience no change, for they but fall asleep in one heaven and wake up in another.

About Six Islands -
Kauai
Kauai is the fourth largest of the Hawaiian islands, as well as the fourth most visited by tourists. Kauai's nickname is the Garden Island because of its tropical climate, waterfalls and lush vegetation
Oahu
Oahu is by far the most popular destination among tourists, attracting nearly twice as many visitors as Maui each year. It is the third largest Hawaiian island, It is also the most populated, and home to the capital, Honolulu.
Molokai
Molokai is the fifth largest Hawaiian island, It is best known for agriculture and ranching, but is also notable for being home to the world's highest sea cliffs. Notable attractions to check out include the Molokai volcanoes in the east and west.
Lanai
Lanai was once nicknamed the Pineapple Island because at one point, nearly the entire island was a pineapple plantation. Lanai is now the fifth most visited island, Most of the island remains undeveloped.
Maui
Maui is the second largest island. Maui is most notable for its mountain ranges and valleys, and is often called the Valley Isle. It is the second most popular tourist destination in the state. While visiting Maui, make time to see the Kaanapali and Wailea resort areas and Haleakala.
Hawaii
Hawaii -- also known as the Big Island -- is not only the largest of the Hawaiian islands, it is also the largest island in the United States. The Big Island is the third most visited by tourists each year. When visiting the Big Island, you'll want to see the Maunaloa volcanoes, Hawaii Volcanoes National Park and Kealakekua Bay.

Hawaii Helicopter Tour: Sacred Falls State Park
Hawaii Helicopter Tour: Sacred Falls State Park
Sacred Falls State Park:
From Wiki: Sacred Falls State Park (Kaliuwaʻa in Hawaiian), is a closed state park located in Hau'ula on the North Shore of the Hawaiian island of Oahu. It has been closed since the rock fall on Mother's Day in 1999. People caught entering the park are subject to hefty fines. The park encompasses Kaluanui gulch and the waterfalls at its end, after which it is named. It is a place in Koolaolao, with lots of associated Hawaiian lore. Kaliuwaa is the most famous of all the valleys in the district of Koolauloa. According to Hawaiian beliefs, visitors were encouraged to lay leaves and place stones on them, as they entered the valley, gorge and falls, in order to show respect to the demigod associated with the location.
Mother’s Day Tragedy: The park was closed indefinitely after a fatal rockfall on May 9, 1999 that killed eight hikers and injured many others, in the canyon where the waterfall is located. Over twenty incidents where people (tourists and locals alike) had been killed or injured had occurred at Sacred Falls, but this was, by far, the deadliest. After the rockfall, being unable to lower ropes with helicopter, first responders slowly carried the injured, dead and dying 2.2 miles out of the park

Robinson R44 Helicopter:
From Wiki: The Robinson R44 is a four-seat light helicopter produced by Robinson Helicopter Company since 1992. Based on the company's two-seat Robinson R22, the R44 features hydraulically assisted flight controls. It was first flown on 31 March 1990 and received FAA certification in December 1992, with the first delivery in February 1993. The R44 has been the world's best-selling general aviation (GA) helicopter every year since 1999.

And Blue Hawaiian is the only helicopter tour company in Hawaii certified by the Department of Defense.

This is the spectacular view of Oahu, Hawaii from the Sky aboard a helicopter with no doors. Thew views are spectacular and the video does not do it justice. The view truly is majestic.
The helicopter tours are expensive but they are totally worth it. The view from up there is incomparable specially around the islands in Hawaii.
The video is a bit shaky but the helicopter vibrates an incredible amount.
Helicopter tour tips:
1) Select a tour that has the doors off option if available. We rode the doors off for a complete and unobstructed view. You have to keep all your extremities inside because it is so windy that if you stick your hand into the current it will slap it back fiercely.
2) Wear a long sleeve jersey or a jacket. Even though its warm on the ground it gets cold up there!
3) If you are going to take photo or video make sure the camera or phone has a chord to wrap around your hand. It is very windy and shaky up there so it would be very easy to loose your phone if you're just grabbing it.
4) To shoot video make sure your phone or camera has enough space! 45 minutes worth of video can take Gigabytes so make space accordingly

Blue Hawaiian prides itself on hand-picking only the finest and most experienced pilots—the absolute cream of the profession—and every one of them is a State of Hawaii Certified Tour Guide. Blue Hawaiian is also the only helicopter tour company in Hawaii with its own state-of-the-art Flight Simulator, and the only one that puts its pilots through annual factory and FAA recurrent training.
