This part of Argentina is great to #visit year-round given its seemingly-endless sunshine. Located on an arid plateau, Mendoza was built on the irrigation channels that were originally dug by the indigenous Huarpe people. These waterways also feed snowmelt from the Andes to Mendoza's vineyards. Mendoza is one of the most highly renowned wine regions in the world.
From above, key Mendoza parks take on the shape of a dotted number five, like on dice. #Explore the central dot, leafy Plaza Independencia and its underground modern art museum. The corners are formed by the Plaza Italia, Plaza General San Martín, Plaza España and Plaza Chile, with their richly decorated statues and fountains.

Argentina's Wine Country ???? It's Not What We Expected! Mendoza Wine Tour. This is Hotel Club Tapiz.
We stayed at the a beautiful, small boutique hotel (Finca) called Club Tapiz just outside of Mendoza, Argentina in an area called Maipu. Maipu is a very popular area for wine in the Mendoza Region. While here we take you on a full tour of the hotel, including the old winery, the grounds including the pool, the restaurant and the gardens. We also take you on a tour of our room.
Later we head about 20 minutes away from Club Tapiz to their winery. Here we get to go on a full wine tour of the property and the vineyards. This ended up being one of the best wine tours we’ve ever done. It happened to be harvest season when we visited and therefore got an inside look (and taste) of the full wine making process. While here we got to taste wine is the various stages of production, even right out of the barrel. We also got to taste one of their best wines, a Malbec. Mendoza is best known for being the main producer of Malbec and you must try it when coming to the region.
Lastly, before we left the winery we got to visit the Llamas which live on the premisses!

A Bicycle Winery Tour in Mendoza, Argentina

In Mendoza, Argentina I went on a bicycle winery tour and it was awesome. There are few things better than getting out and having a little fun well travelling. I know my job sounds like it's fun and games all the time, but I really do work hard. So, going on a wine tour in Mendoza by bicycle was really the perfect day. In Mendoza, I did more than just go on a bicycle wine tour, of course. I also went and checked out San Martin Plaza and Parque Boliviar. I didn't really shoot Mendoza as much as I might an other city, but it's simply because the city isn't really that photogenic, if I'm being honest. That said, it is likely one of the most livable cities in all of South America. I think I could live happily in Mendoza, Argentina. Such a great town.

Today we toured an olive oil factory, tried various oils & balsamics, tasted different wines at Carnae winery, ate a delicious lunch & had more wine at a DIFFERENT winery called Club Tapiz, shopped for some souvenirs, ate some DELICIOUS local gelato (YUM), laughed while the guys tried to pay at dinner ????, and then hit a few bars before heading back to the room! We have an early start tomorrow and quite a hike - literally a hike - to look forward to and prepare for. ????????
