The Octavio Frias de Oliveira bridge is a cable-stayed bridge in São Paulo, Brazil over the Pinheiros River, opened in May 2008. The bridge is 138 metres (450 ft) tall, and connects Marginal Pinheiros to Jornalista Roberto Marinho Avenue.
The bridge deck is unusual due to its form, which is similar to an X, crossing at the tower.
It is the only bridge in the world that has two curved tracks supported by a single concrete mast.
At the end of December lights are put up on the cables and illuminated to create color effects like those on a Christmas tree.

A Ponte Octavio Frias de Oliveira é uma ponte estaiada em São Paulo, Brazil localizada sobre o Rio Pinheiros e foi inaugurada em Maio de 2008. A ponte tem 138 metros de altura e interliga a Marginal Pinheiros até a Avenida Jornalista Roberto Marinho.
A ponte é diferente devido a sua forma que é semelhante a um X que cruza a torre.
No final de Dezembro os cabos são iluminados por luzes coloridas como uma árvore de natal.

A Catedral Metropolitana de Sorocaba ou Catedral Metropolitana de Nossa Senhora da Ponte, sede da Arquidiocese de Sorocaba, localiza-se na Praça Coronel Fernando Prestes, no centro da cidade de Sorocaba, Estado de São Paulo, Brasil. Foi construída há mais de 200 anos.
A catedral é derivada da segunda igreja matriz da cidade, fundada em 1771 quando chegou de Portugal a imagem de Nossa Senhora da Ponte, que atualmente encontra-se no altar principal em estilo barroco de 1771. A primeira igreja matriz foi a Igreja de Sant'anna, atual Mosteiro de São Bento. Essa curiosa invocação de Nossa Senhora, comum em Portugal, é única no Brasil.
Na parte superior da Catedral há o Museu Arquidiocesano de Arte Sacra de Sorocaba que em breve irá funcionar no casarão do Largo de São Bento com a Rua Dr. Nogueira Martins, também na área central de Sorocaba.

The cathedral is derived from the mother church of the second city, founded in 1771 when he arrived in Portugal the image Nossa Senhora da Ponte, which currently is at the main altar in style Baroque, 1771 . Sorocaba é um município brasileiro localizado no interior do estado de São Paulo. Sorocaba recebeu urbanização de ruas e avenidas, se preparando para o tráfego intenso que recebe diariamente, principalmente de veículos de outras cidades (microrregião de Sorocaba). A cidade conta com setenta quilômetros de ciclovias criadas nas avenidas principais da cidade, sendo possível atravessá-la somente utilizando-se bicicletas como meio de transporte.

orocaba (Portuguese pronunciation: [soɾoˈkabɐ]) is a Brazilian city located in the state of São Paulo, Brazil. Sorocaba is the fourth largest city in the state of São Paulo. With an estimated population of 584,313 inhabitants, it is a regional capital of the Sorocaba microregion with 14 municipalities, totaling over 1.5 million inhabitants. It has an area of 456.0 km ², of which 349.2 km ² is urban and 106.8 km ² rural area.
Proportional to population, the municipality is the least violent in the interior due to the great performance of the Military Police, both Civil and Municipal, mainly between 2000 and 2002, who fought violence, child labor and drug trafficking.
Over the past twelve years the city has been undergoing extensive urbanization projects, improving streets and avenues, as well as infrastructure for the traffic which the city receive every day.
The city has 60 miles of exclusive bike paths that run along many of the city's main avenues. Plans for the future hope to make Sorocaba the largest cycling network in Latin America. The city is implementing a public bike system similar to the European cities of Barcelona and Paris. Sorocaba is currently the second largest cycling loop in Brazil, after Rio de Janeiro.
