Golfing in Cape Town, South Africa
It had been a while since the last time I had gone golfing once I had arrived in Cape Town. Thus, I made an effort to get out and explore one of the region's many courses. I went to Steenburg Gold Course just outside of Cape Town and essentially had the course to myself. The property is also a winery so I made sure I got some of the local wine in me as well.
It's a bit of a short video, but I really did enjoy my time golfing in Cape Town.

Golf in Cape Town - Clovelly Country Club - South Africa
This parkland, 5890 metres Par 72 Golf Course is set in the tranquil Silvermine Valley near Cape Town, South Africa. It is probably the most picturesque Golf Course on the Cape Peninsula with views of False Bay and the mountains and dunes of the Silvermine Nature Reserve. The Club House has an extensive ProShop, a popular bar / terrace and restaurant and function rooms.
For those family members who do not play golf Clovelly Country Club is central to most of the attractions the Peninsula has to offer: beaches, restaurants, shopping centres, fishing harbours, nature reserves, Table Mountain, Cape of Good Hope, Constantia wine farms.
The Metropolitan Golf Club
The Metropolitan Golf Club, one of Melbourne’s renowned ‘Sandbelt’ courses and widely regarded as one of the finest championship courses in Australia, is located approximately 20 minutes from the CBD.
Metropolitan enjoys a reputation as one of the best-conditioned and most beautiful courses in the country. Pure couch grass fairways with large, fast bent-grass greens that are hand-mown to the edges of the greenside bunkers add greatly to the challenge of the course.

The Lion of Africa Cape Town Open to take place at the Royal Cape Golf Club
The Lion of Africa Cape Town Open will take place at the Royal Cape Golf Club from the 24th to the 27th of November. It will be the fifth time the 1,5 million rand Sunshine Tour event will be played. The big news announced at a media launch in Cape Town today is that four time PGA tour winner, Heath Slocum from the USA will be competing in this year's event.
