After Lincoln climbing the three tallest peaks in Great Britain last year, He decided to try out some scrambling on Moel Siabod in North Wales.

a walk up Moel Siabod on boxing day 2012, the weather was checked and giving good clear weather, but it turned in the last 1000ft from the summit,unable to film the last section of the climb except the summit itself due to ice and snow as i put 100% concentration into it.
Moel Siabod sits isolated above the villages of Betws-y-Coed and Capel Curig. At 872m it is the highest peak in the Moelwynion mountain range. The UK National Mountain Centre, Plas-y-Brenin, is located at the foot of Moel Siabod. From the top of the mountain, it is reputedly possible to see 13 of the 14 highest peaks in Wales on a clear day without turning one's head. The words Moel Siabod translate from Welsh as shapely hill. The mountain is easily accessible from the north via Capel Curig and nearby Pont Cyfyng the route which i took.

This Capel Curig Walk was about 4 miles in distance. The terrain of the route was generally clear and surfaced paths through woodland, wetland and high pastures. The walking was easy either on level ground or gentle to moderate slopes. Route finding was easy with obvious paths, good waymarking and good landmarks. Some of the paths were wet and slippery in places. There were 8 stiles to negotiate with most of them being ladder-stiles.

Trev is joined by YouTuber Joss for a scramble and windy wild camp on Moel Siabod, Snowdonia. Once again Trev in the Naturehike Cloud Up 2 .
A last attempt to take advantage of the dwindling summer temperatures, and visit one more mountain, this week Moel Siabod from Capel Curig, for a windy ridge climb, views of Snowdon and Tryfan, and mountainside wild camp.
I'm out again in the lightweight backpacking tent the Naturehike Cloud Up 2 ( ), which proves its worth once again in winds of over 40mph.

Moel Eilio and friends
Moel Eilio is a mountain in Snowdonia, North Wales, that is situated approximately 3 miles north-west of Snowdon itself. It has two subsidiary tops, Foel Gron and Foel Goch (Eilio). The average annual temperature of the mountain is around 6 degrees celsius. During the winter season, some significant accumulations of snowfall is known to take place on Moel Eilio, due to its relatively flat, grassy slopes.
