Feu à Balata, S.O.S Pompiers Martinique

The name parkour is a neologism, created in 1998 by a friend of David Belle - Hubert Koundé [2]. It comes from the French word parcours - the route, road, mileage, which in turn derives from the Latin percursus [1].
Parkour is not a loose collection of individual techniques, it should be considered as a whole run (flow). Do not fall for it as well (though sometimes erroneously classified him) various acrobatic techniques, such as somersaults.
The spread of parkour [edit | edit code]
Luc Besson movie Yamakasi - modern samurai and Yamakasi 2: Sons of wind and the film District 13 and 13 District ultimatum with David Bell rozpropagowały parkour and made him popular. Helped including two English documentary films: Jump London and Jump Britain, depicting Freerun.
Le parkour techniques [edit | edit code]
Le parkour techniques are m.in .:
uring, and resistant but yet they had no other tutor in gymnastics but their lives in nature.[22] His rescue efforts during the 1902 eruption of Mount Pelée on Saint-Pierre, Martinique, reinforced his belief that athletic skill must be combined with courage and altruism.[22] Hébert became a most efficient way possible. This is done using only the human body and the surroundings for propulsion, with a focus on maintaining as much momentum as possible while still remaining safe. Parkour can include obstacle courses, running, climbing, swinging, mantling, vaulting, jumping, rolling, quadrupedal movement, and other, similar movements depending on what movement is deemed most suitable for the given situation.[7][8][9]
Parkour is an activity that can be practiced alone or with others. Although it can be practiced in any location, it is usually practiced in urban spaces.[10][11] Parkour involves seeing one's environment in a new way, and imagining the potentialities for navigating it by movement around, across, through, over and under its features.[12][13]
Developed in France, primarily by Raymond Belle, David Belle, and Sébastien Foucan during the late 1980s,[14][15] Parkour became popular in the late 1990s and 2000s through films, documentaries, and advertisements featuring these practitioners and others.[4]
The term derives from parcours du comba ttant, the classic obstacle-course method of military training proposed by Georges Hébert,[16][17][18] the term le parcours was used by Raymond to encompass all of his training including climbing, jumping, running, balancing, and the other methods he undertook in his personal athletic advancement. One day when David Belle was on a film set, he showed his 'Speed Air Man' video to Hubert Koundé, who suggested to change the c of parcours to a k because it was more dynamic and stronger, and to remove the silent s for the same reason.[citation needed] Belle liked the idea and officially changed the name of his discipline to parkour.[citation needed]
A practitioner of parkour is often called a traceur, with the feminine form being traceuse.[7] They are nouns derived from the French verb tracer, which normally means to trace, as in tracing a path, in reference to drawing.[19] The verb tracer used familiarly means: to buck up.[20] The term traceur was originally the name of a parkour group headed by David Belle which included Sébastien Foucan and Stephane Vigroux.[21] In Western Europe, a forerunner of parkour was French naval officer Georges Hébert, who before World War I promoted athletic skill based on the models of indigenous tribes he had met in Africa.

Listening is a more natural way of learning, when compared to reading. Written language only began at around 3200 BC, but spoken language has existed long ago.

The official language is French, and virtually the entire population also speaks Antillean Creole (Créole Martiniquais).

SUMMARY
=======
Pompeii () was an ancient Roman city near modern Naples in the Campania region of Italy, in the territory of the comune of Pompei. Pompeii, along with Herculaneum and many villas in the surrounding area (e.g. at Boscoreale, Stabiae), was buried under 4 to 6 m (13 to 20 ft) of volcanic ash and pumice in the eruption of Mount Vesuvius in AD 79. Many of the inhabitants were also buried before they could escape.
The catastrophe was described in a surviving letter by Pliny the Younger who saw the eruption from a distance and described the death of his uncle Pliny the Elder, an admiral of the Roman fleet, who tried to rescue citizens. The site was eventually lost until its initial rediscovery in 1599 and broader rediscovery almost 150 years later by Spanish engineer Rocque Joaquin de Alcubierre in 1748. The city has been largely preserved because of lack of air and moisture. The artefacts preserved provide an extraordinarily detailed insight into the life of the city. During excavations liquid plaster was used to fill the voids in the ash that once held human and animal bodies, giving often gruesome images of their last moments.
Pompeii has been a tourist destination for over 250 years. Today it has UNESCO World Heritage Site status and is one of the most popular tourist attractions in Italy, with approximately 2.5 million visitors every year.Excavations recommenced in 2018 in the unexplored Regio V area of the city and new discoveries are being reported.
