Tsūtenkaku Tower (Osaka, Japan) Shinsekai 大阪通天閣 新世界
A landmark tower of the shopping district Shinsekai (New World), and most definitely one of Osaka's most famous tourist destinations.
The current construction, completed in 1956, is in fact the second tower, and was designed by the preeminent architect Naito Tachu--who also designed Tokyo Tower. It soars 100m high (103m including the lightning rod) and features an observation gallery at about 90m from the ground, with a sweeping view of Osaka city.
The original tower had been built in 1912 and become famous for its height and unique shape, a cross between the Eiffel Tower and the Arc de Triomphe in Paris. An interesting tidbit is that Matsushita Konosuke, the founder of the electric company Panasonic Corporation, was working on the construction site as a wireman.

However I'm back now and will be uploading lots of regular videos again! I have HEAPS of Japan vlogs coming up so please look forward to them! I went to the Sailor Moon cafe with Kaotsun which was in Kabukicho, Shinjuku at Anion Station. It's a limited cafe that was open for a limited time until May 6th. The Best Capsule Hotels in Tokyo
Ever been to a cramped, pokey little motel with barely enough room to stretch your legs? Well in Japan they make them even smaller!
Capsule hotels are the world's smallest accommodations, one man niches, barely larger than a coffin! Today we visit Tokyo's finest!
1. Tokyo Ginza Bay Hotel
This capsule hotel is near to sightseeing spots like Akihabara, Asakusa and even Disneyland Tokyo! And, as it’s located in Ginza you'll find Ginza station, Shimbashi Station and Tsukijishijo Station just next to you! They also have a Ladies Only floor, and comfortable single beds (206 cm x 100 cm) For an average price of ¥4,000 – ¥6,000
2) Nine Hours Kita Shinjuku
This is not a regular hotel, you can use it to just shower if you are in a hurry, or even just to take a nap. The flat price includes all of their facilities (showers with soaps, towels etc., lounges), including a capsule bed. For an average price of ¥1,000 the first hour and ¥500 for every additional hour.
3) Nadeshiko Hotel Shibuya
Well, this Capsule Hotel is female only, so... The staff provides yukata as underwear. This Hotel is built in the traditional Japanese style, with tatami lounges, big traditional baths and of course, computers. Yeh. Very traditional. Stay here for an average price of ¥7,000 – ¥10,000
4) Akihabara Bay Hotel
This capsule hotel is also female only. They will provide you your own locker, Room Wear, bath towels, free wifi, laundromat, a large single bed (206 cm x 100 cm), and lounges with microwaves and kettles. All for an average price of ¥4,500 – ¥7,000
5) Anshin Oyado Shinbashi
This is a Bali-style Capsule Hotel for men only! Most of its furniture is imported directly from Bali, to create a warm atmosphere for its customers. Sauna and communal baths are also available to make your stay relaxing and comfortable. Stay here for an average price of ¥5,000 – ¥7,000
6) Khaosan Tokyo Samurai Capsule
This is a traditional Japanese style a capsule hotel, with a very classy tatami lounge and even Japanese curtains covering the entrance of every capsule. Here you can enjoy a great view of the Tokyo Tower and the Asakusa area. For an average price of ¥3,000 – ¥5,000
7) Centurion Hotel Cabin Tower
This is a luxurious capsule Hotel with a European style, but they also offer family cabins. The best part this capsule hotel known as “Residential Akasaka” is that it's located in the heart of Tokyo and has an average price of ¥3,000 – ¥6,000
8) Book and Bed Tokyo Ikebukuro
This is more than a hotel, a huge library with pillows and beds included. So if you enjoy reading, this is your place. You can also choose between beds behind the bookshelf or bunk beds, the more economical option. For an average price of ¥3,800 – ¥4,800
9) Capsule Hotel Omotenashi No Oyado
Here you can experience Japanese popular food whilst you read a wide range of manga, rented for free from the hotel's library. You can select a capsule or a private room, and you can use it even in daytime to study or have fun in a comfortable space. All for an average price of ¥2,600 – ¥3,500
10) First Cabin Tsukiji
They have the most spacious cabins you will find in Tokyo! The ambience is also very elegant. There is a café where you can eat your breakfast for a fixed price or have a drink at night time. All for an average price of ¥6,800
Which of these capsule hotels would you like to enjoy?

Japan's Nippon Moon Wheel: World's tallest Ferris wheel

Opened in March 2000, the London Eye was originally meant to stand at the city’s South Bank for just a few years but became so popular that is now the country’s most popular paid-for attraction. Dutch designers UNStudio will be hoping their proposed Nippon Moon Ferris wheel will be similarly well-received by tourists in Japan.
Although the wheel’s location has yet to be confirmed, it should immediately make an impact on the surrounding environment. It is almost twice the size of the London Eye, which is 443ft (135m) tall, and once in place should be the tallest structure of its kind in the world. Currently that accolade is claimed by the Singapore Flyer, which stands 541ft tall, but the title will go to the 550ft-tall High Roller wheel in Las Vegas when that attraction opens this year.
