Victory Chimes Sailing on History in Maine. Discover Maine 29
t has been an amazing spring!! I don't know if you have caught on yet but I LOVE MAINE!!!
Last week I had the chance to spend three amazing days on the Victory Chimes! This schooner was built in 1899 and is still sailing today. It is the last of its kind. And It still offers many amazing adventure!
I enjoyed being on this stunning ship with all the amazing food. Spending time out to sea swimming and climbing the 85 ft mast (for the epic time lapses). Plus the ship was filled with amazing music!
On this trip I got to hang out with and hear Hubby Jenkins. If you haven't heard him yet, please make sure to watch until you hear him crush the banjo. Then take a minute to look him up!
All and all absolutely amazing trip! I hope you can, one day, have a chance to do it too. But if not I hope you can experience a small piece of it with this video!!!
The weekend is almost here you've got this!!! And remember Go Discover Something Awesome!!!!!
Thank you to my sponsors for helping with this video.

Look in your pocket and see if you have a Maine state quarter. If so, you have an image of the three masted Victory Chimes. Capts. Kip Files and Paul DeGaeta are justifiably proud of the many things that make their vessel unique. Hear Capt. Kip explain in this video.

1000 Islands 360_Aerial of Rock Island Lighthouse Sunset
Rock Island Lighthouse is located in the Thousand Islands about 4.5 miles northeast of Clayton, Jefferson County, New York, off of Fisher's Landing. Originally commissioned in 1847, it is one of six lights put up along the St. Lawrence River to guide traffic to and from Lake Ontario through the waterway. The Rock Island station is the best preserved, as all of its structures still survive. It was refitted in 1855, rebuilt in 1882, and moved in 1903. The light was closed in 1955 after more a century of service. In June 2013, the island and all its buildings were reopened to the public as a park maintained by the New York State Office of Parks, Recreation & Historic Preservation. The island is accessible by private boat and local shuttle service, and the grounds are open for touring and picnicking. rockislandlighthouse.org
