Mount Nelson is a suburb of the city of Hobart, Tasmania, Australia above the Hobart suburb of Sandy Bay and to the south of Hobart's CBD. It is one of the oldest and more prestigious suburbs in Hobart.
The main road in Mount Nelson is Nelson Road, which extends up the mountain from the Wrest Point Hotel Casino in the suburb of Sandy Bay. It is famously known for its bends, which consist of seven very sharp corners created as the road winds its way up the mountain.More info:

Our Journey: Perry & I - EP.2 - Hobart Tasmania Day 2
Our Journey: Perry & I - EP.2 - Hobart Tasmania Day 2
This is our journey where we keep our memories together.
We slept through our alarm so we have to adjusted our plan for our second day. We started with a good brunch and coffee at Born in Brunswick in North Hobart. Their food is beautiful and of course their coffee is great too. Then we go up to the top of Mount Wellington for a stunning view of Hobart City with freezing cold win and snow. After that we went to MONA - Museum of Old and New Art. There is a new section with so many brilliant works. Everything are so interesting and inspiring. We stop at the Elwick Bay to see the sunset view along a walking bridge. Grabbed some snacks and a glass of wine at Lucinda before heading to the Mount Nelson Lookout for an incredible sunset view over Hobart city. We finished our day with seafood dinner at Drunken Admiral Seafarers Restaurant. What a wonder day for us in Tassie.

The Neck Lookout, Tasmania.
Bruny Island Neck is an isthmus of land connecting north and south Bruny Island, southern Tasmania.
The Neck is an important habitat for Bruny’s native wildlife, and here you’ll find the Neck Game Reserve. Boardwalks and viewing platforms enable you to observe short-tailed shearwaters and little penguins (also known as fairy penguins). You can see these remarkable birds returning to their burrows in the sand dunes at dusk—little penguins making their way up the beach in tight groups and the shearwaters gliding in from the sea. The Reserve has an interpretation board and during peak viewing times there is a Parks and Wildlife interpretation guide present at dusk. The best viewing period is during the warmer months—September to February.
Timber stairs lead from the dunes to the Neck lookout, offering stunning 360 degree views. You’ll find a memorial here to the indigenous Nuenonne people who lived on Lunnawannalonna (Bruny Island) before the European settlement of Bruny.
The Neck campground is just 20 metres from the beach and has several accessible, flat sites, car parking, picnic facilities and toilets.
