A day out with the Orca at Whakatane
Waka ama (outrigger)paddlers heading out the Whakatane Bar get up close with a few Orca . The Paddlers from the Tarawera Outrigger canoe club were heading out for some long distance training ( just a 26 ks paddle around Moutohora Island or Whale) when they spotted a few Ocar. They enjoyed a nice 20 mins of an up close encounter before carrying on their training..
