Adventures Near You Huntington, WV
While ago I worked and live down on the Peninsula of southern Virginia. Know for its plethora of history there is more to it than just Yorktown, Williamsburg, and Jamestown that ties it to other states in the US. Back in the later part of the 19th a man name Collis Huntington created a shipyard, but his endeavor would not just put the City of Newport News on them map. 437 miles away a small town in West Virginia popped up to supply coal and iron for the shipyards steal works.
Ever since my days at the shipyard I've wanted to take a trip out to Huntington, WV as explore what it had to show. After a drive through the night, we arrived on a overcast day to discover that the town had much more to offer than the history of its namesake. Follow us on this trip as we show you another adventure near you!

The Place I Belong | Kanawha County, West Virginia
We need engaging educational software more now than ever before. As we are learning the perks about technology and our growing generation, we are learning to show students that they love math (even if they don't know it yet.) West Virginia wanted a process that helps plan for their success and they continually come back to Imagine Learning- while they used the Language and Literacy support before, they now have invested in the Imagine Math and have watched how it transforms their students lives. With multiple perks, the teachers in West Virginia have found some of the most useful aspects of the Imagine Math program is the reporting and remediation tools that build pathways for striving students that may need a bit more help in specific areas.
The success is evident through the smiling faces, the retention of teachers and even the test scores.
Welcome home!
Thank you to West Virginia Kanawha school district and those we've been in contact with for this story, including:

We love Education like John Denver loves West Virginia -
Almost heaven, West Virginia
Blue Ridge Mountains, Shenandoah River
Life is old there, older than the trees
Younger than the mountains, blowing like a breeze
Country roads, take me home
To the place I belong
West Virginia, mountain mama
Take me home, country roads
All my memories gather round her
Miner's lady, stranger to blue water
Dark and dusty, painted on the sky
Misty taste of moonshine, teardrop in my eye
Country roads, take me home
To the place I belong
West Virginia, mountain mama
Take me home, country roads
I hear her voice, in the morning hour she calls me
The radio reminds me of my home far away
And driving down the road I get a feeling
That I should have been home yesterday, yesterday
Country roads, take me home
To the place I belong
West Virginia, mountain mama
Take me home, country roads
Country roads, take me home
To the place I belong
West Virginia, mountain mama
Take me home, country roads
Take me home, down country roads
Take me home, down country roads
Thank you for your investment in education, we see you and appreciate you!

Listening is a more natural way of learning, when compared to reading. Written language only began at around 3200 BC, but spoken language has existed long ago.
Learning by listening is a great way to:
- increases imagination and understanding
- improves your listening skills
- improves your own spoken accent
- learn while on the move
- reduce eye strain
Now learn the vast amount of general knowledge available on Wikipedia through audio (audio article). You could even learn subconsciously by playing the audio while you are sleeping! If you are planning to listen a lot, you could try using a bone conduction headphone, or a standard speaker instead of an earphone.
