Follow us on our road trip safari through southern Africa's desert country Namibia. We drove through most of Namibia, exploring all the famous highlights such as the Fishriver Canyon, Sossusvlei and Etosha Nationalpark. We were lucky enough to spot most of the big, and many small, animals which call Namibia home. These include elephants, giraffes, lions, rhinos, hippos, kudus, oryx, ostriches, warthogs, springboks, impalas and many more.

Vanuit Swakopmund gaan we de woestijn in voor een Living Desert Tour, de levende woestijn toer, om op zoek te gaan naar schorpioenen, hagedissen, slangen, kameleon en gekko. Ook wel de Little 5 genoemd. We hebben geluk en zien de Namib Dune Gecko (Namibi duin gekko), legless Lizard (hazelworm), Sand Diving Lizards (hagedis), Sidewinder Snakes (duinadder), Desert Chameleons (woestijnkameleon), Parabuthus Villosus black scorpion (schorpioen). Het was geweldig!

Swakopmund - Adventure Capital of Namibia
The best activities in Swakopmund and Walvis Bay. From sandboarding to skydiving, desert tours, canoeing, dune trips to Sandwich Harbour, paragliding, windsurfing and quadbiking and horseriding in the dunes. Swakopmund is truly the Adventure Capital of Namibia.
Cape Town to Namibia
The adventure begins with a tour of Cape Town's famous townships. We head north across the Western Cape to Namibia. En route we take in the Cederberg Mountains and the Orange River. The spectacular Fish River canyon and the spetacular landscapes of the Namib Desert are a couple of the highlights of the tour. We have time to partake in some of the activities offered in Swakopmund - the adventure capital of the desert, before heading for Etosha National Park. En route we visit Spitzkoppe with its bushman rock paintings and have time to explore this lunar landscape. Etosha National Park, Namibia's largest game reserve, offers some of the best wildlife viewing in Southern Africa. Spend time at Etosha's famous waterholes and best have your camera ready. Traveling south, our safari tour ends in Windhoek - the capital of Namibia.

This video shows a short part of each day on our incredible 10 day tour!

We had the privilege of doing a tour from Luderitz to Walvisbay in Namibia. The tour consisted of two days travelling from Pretoria South Africa to Luderitz where we met Ramon our guide from Coastway tour. We then spent 5 days in the Namib desert travelling to Walvisbay. We spent a day in Swakopmund doing the living desert tour as well as a boat cruise later the afternoon. The following two days we travelled back to Pretoria, South Africa.
Hierdie video wys ‘n kort stukkie van elke dag op die wonderlike 10 dag toer!
Afrikaans:
Ons was bevoorreg om ‘n toer van Ludertiz na Walvisbaai in Namibië te doen. Die toer het bestaan uit twee dae se ry van Pretoria na Luderitz waar ons die toergids, Ramon van Coastway Tours ontmoet het. Die volgende 5 dae het ons deur die Namib woestyn getoer tot in Walvisbaai. Ons het daarna ‘n dag deurgebring in Swakopmund waar ons ‘n Living desert tour sowel as ‘n bootrit gedoen het later die middag. Die volgende twee dae het ons weer terug gery na Pretoria.
Die toer was gereël deur André de Villiers (André4x4) van Safari 4x4 Roetes en hy was ook ons gids gewees vir die ander dae op die toer.
