Has a big outdoor small zoo and overall excellent maintenance. Interesting animals we saw today. ..... deers, kangaroos, lions, leopards, snakes, vultures, monkeys, sea lions, different types of birds and ZEBRAS....POOR zebras looked so cold without a fur layer.....of course we have an official introduction of the DONKEY...the official name - domestic ass! He he he.....
A full day at this park is needed to enjoy the zoo, Seoul Children Museum, animal show, snow sledding....A little cold today but nice to hang out at a big park!

【4K】어린이대공원 Children's Grand Park Walk in Seoul ????????
The Seoul Grand Park(어린이 대공원) is the first and largest theme park in Korea with a zoo and a botanical garden. It's located at the foot of Cheonggye mountain in the city of Gwacheon. In 1984, the park was opened after all the animals were transferred from the Changgyeong Palace. Along with the main attraction, Seoul Zoo, there's also a rose garden, children's zoo, Seoul Land (a theme park), and the National Museum of Contemporary Art with a large lake in the middle of everything.
The history of the Seoul Grand Park goes back more than a hundred years when Korea was under Japanese rule. In 1909, the Japanese dug up the the historic Changgyeong Palace and built a zoo on the site. The name of the palace was downgraded to 'Changgyeong Park'. Even after the liberation of the Changgyeong Palace, it was still used as a zoo until 1980. In 1980, the palace was restored to its original state and the animals were transferred to the Seoul Zoo at Seoul Grand Park. The Seoul Grand Park Zoo opened in 2009 for its 100th anniversary. The name was changed to Seoul Zoo. They transformed the zoo into a place where animals and visitors can have an enjoyable experience.
The botanical garden is the largest in Korea. Tropical plants, a cactus garden, orchids, and other plants are in the greenhouse and over 250 kinds of plants native to Korea are in the outdoor garden. The species exhibition room has the plants organized by type. Visitors can walk down the 7.4km long forest path around the zoo and freely enjoy the aroma of nature. The mountain forest exhibition that is near the zoo entrance exhibits trees, grass, insects, mushrooms, and birds in all shapes and sizes.
At the opposite side of the Seoul Zoo entrance, there's a theme garden which contains the rose garden and children's zoo. At the children's zoo, visitors can get close to sheep, rabbits, black goats, ponies, squirrels, parrots, and other animals.

A Date in Everland •• Korea's Biggest Amusement Park!
Everland is located just outside of Seoul, and we took a car out on a cool Tuesday to have one of the most memorable dates ever ????It is Korea's largest and most beloved amusement park, and boasts the fastest rollercoaster in Asia...which happens to be wooden, which is sick. We rode it three times and I couldn't turn my neck to the right for three days but worth it.
Stretch your neck on my behalf,

Exploring Bukhansan National Park in Seoul | Baegundae Peak
The name Bukhansan means big mountain in the north, and it is also called Samgaksan Mountain. Bukhansan Mountain has such smooth curves that the large granite rocks sometimes look as if they would slide down the mountain. Samgaksan means Triangle Mountain / three peaks: Baegunbong, Insubong and Mangyeongbong. The main peak is Baegundae Peak. With its granite peaks and Bukhansanseong Fortress, Bukhansan is perfect for hiking in all seasons. It offers trails suited to every level of experience, from gentle slopes to steep rugged tracks while the ever-changing scenery each season makes every visit unique.
Seoul City turns social welfare centers green
Seoul is a wonderful city full of modern architecture, bustling streets and vibrant nightlife, but there is one common criticism leveled at the capital: the lack of green space.
Well, there's a push on now to make Seoul more green.
The Welfare Forest Project is the city government's plan to spruce up the yards of the more than 5-thousand welfare centers and special education facilities around the capital.
Connie Lee reports. From the looks of it,... it doesn't seem like you're in a busy metropolis.
But in the yards of Seoul's various social welfare centers and education facilities, lush green scenery is what you can see.
The Welfare Forest Project is a campaign,.... currently underway by the Seoul Metropolitan Government,... for more green spaces in the city -- especially for those places that need it the most.
If you see a lot of these welfare centers, or 'public-interest' facilities, their outdoor environment is very poor./ But with this project, we want to make those environments more 'green,'... with a park, garden, or forest.
For instance... at the so-called Dream Tree Village,... which consists of an orphanage and a specialized school, some 'empty' space was able to be transformed.
This area was once just a field of dirt, creating a lot of dust. But now it is a welcoming park.
The kids like to catch the many insects here.... Also, the teachers like to bring the children out here for picnics.
Even residents nearby are able to enjoy the park.
There are so many trees here and the air is nice. I feel good and refreshed when I'm here.
It's a city initiative, along with the Korea Forest Service, that started back in 2008,... encouraging different public-interest facilities to apply for this funding, to have their front yards or backyards transformed.
So far... more than 26 facilities in the city have a new garden or park to boast about...
with the government now accepting more applications for the year 2015.
The deadline to apply for the program... for next year... is this Friday.

[VLOG] ❀Picnic at Seoul Forest❀
Hello!
First of all, if this video looks a bit weird, it's because I had to stabilize the shakiness. Sorry about that!
Anyway, my semester at Hanyang is done! I've only got a couple more days in Seoul until I leave for home. I'm excited but sad at the same time..... I'll definitely come back here again.
As for videos, I've got two or three more lined up. Thank you for watching and subscribing!
