7 Best Places to Visit in New Zealand
7 Best Places to Visit in New Zealand
Comprised of two main islands, North Island and South Island, New Zealand is an incredible destination to discover. Packed with unforgettable landscapes, breathtaking scenery, and an unparalleled combination of lakes, mountains, and lush greenery, New Zealand has to be seen to be truly understood. While touring New Zealand, be sure to give equal time to its lively cities and its more stunning natural landmarks. This article can serve as your itinerary highlighting the best places to visit in New Zealand.
1. Fiordland
Established in 1952, Fiordland National Park is now over 1.2 million hectares in size, and encompasses mountain, lake, fiord and rainforest environments. The National Park is administered by the Department of Conservation.
The variety of habitats in Fiordland support a diverse range of flora and fauna, with many developing in relative isolation leading to a high rate of endemism, or plants and animals that have evolved to be completely unique to this area.
2. Tongariro National Park
Tongariro National Park – covering almost 80,000 hectares – was gifted to the nation by Maori chief Te Heuheu Tukino IV in 1887. Just over a hundred years later, the park was awarded dual World Heritage Site status.
Emerald lakes, alpine meadows and hot springs surround the largest volcanoes in the North Island, offering an environment of stunning diversity.
All three volcanoes are very much alive, with Mount Tongariro erupting as recently as August 2012. But this doesn’t deter people from skiing down the slopes and hiking to the craters – a monitoring system provides early warning of eruptions.
3. Paihia
Paihia – Bay of Islands offers the visitor so many things to do with lots of activities, short walks, tours and attractions to choose from.
Paihia is the main tourist town in the Bay of Islands making this an excellent base for exploring the Bay of Islands and Northland. It offers an extensive choice of accommodation with a good sized town centre of restaurants, bars, a wide range of shopping and some beautiful sandy beaches.
4. Napier
Napier is a New Zealand city with a seaport, located in Hawke Bay on the east coast of the North Island. Napier's population is about 58,600 people by 2010. About 18 km south of Napier is the deepest city in Hastings.
5 Glacier Country
In Glacier Country, the Franz Josef and Fox Glaciers are among the most accessible glaciers in the world. Glacier Country offers a wealth of adventure activities.
Take a guided glacier hike, ride a quad bike, fly in a helicopter or sightseeing plane or even do a tandem sky dive. Wildlife attractions include the kiwi breeding programme in Franz Josef, the White Heron Sanctuary in Whataroa and kiwi in the wild at Okarito.
Glacier Country is Whataroa, Okarito, Lake Mapourika, Franz Josef Glacier, Fox Glacier, Lake Matheson and Gillespies Beach.
6. Stewart Island
Stewart Island / Rakiura is New Zealand's third largest island. It is located offshore, about 30 km south of the South Island, separated by the Foveaux Strait. The permanent population of the island is 381 people, most of whom live in residential areas of Oban.
7 .Auckland
Auckland is New Zealand's largest city and main transport hub. Make sure you stop and enjoy the shopping, dining and natural wonders Auckland has to offer.
Auckland is New Zealand's largest city and main transport hub. The region is home to some 1.5 million people and is also the largest Polynesian city in the world. Imagine an urban environment where everyone lives within half an hour of beautiful beaches, hiking trails and a dozen enchanting holiday islands.

that is MOJO cafe:
Excellent coffee is never a rational thing; it's a drink imbued with inspiration, freedom, celebration, history, dreams. It's about experience as much as refreshment. It's about personal space, about the pursuit of perfection, about the meeting of minds, about escape and reward. That's the Mojo and it's to treasure.
